About me: Hello to everybody! My name is Alex Leach and let me thank you for stopping by. I've been active in doing what I love for a long time now, which is traveling and performing Bluegrass Music! Ever since I was 6 years old, my Paps would take me all over the country to festivals and places I wanted to go, which I am really thankful for and I appreciate him for all he's done to help me so far ... I am now 20 years young, and joined up with Larry Gillis & His Hard Driving Bluegrass Band just a few months ago, which I am very excited about. Larry has been a hero of mine since I was 8 and it is a great honor working for him in his band and staying on the road about 80% of my time now. And in the summer, I'll be renting my own place down in Georgia along with my bro Evan, which I cannot wait for! That will give me a chance to record, enjoy time with friends, have some interesting conversations by the creek late at night (Evan & Joe lol), and of coarse work on our music with boss man Larry! ... I also do a Bluegrass radio show every Tuesday night from 7-10 pm on WDVX in Knoxville (www.wdvx.com). I've been doing this show now for 12 years and I've won SPBGMA's International Bluegrass DJ of the year twice since 2003, and I still love every minute of getting to do my radio show with my buddy Charlie! And at 9pm every Tuesday, you can catch Larry, me and the whole gang doing a live 15 minute segment on the radio show so don't forget to tune in! ... I also want to mention that I have worked and/or been on stage with folks such as Kody Norris & The Watauga Mountain Boys (who I still make guest appearances with when I can), The Cumberland Highlanders on RFD TV, Ralph Stanley, Marty Stuart, Joe Isaacs, Tony Thomas, Southern Skye Band, among many others. Just let me say that the music business will always be my profession, regardless! I'm very dedicated to it.
Now besides from the music part of my life (which is the majority lol): I'm from the beautiful state of Tennessee, where I can look out my window and see Caryville mountain meeting the sky. And as I mentioned before, I'll be staying in Georgia quite a bit this year as well. I'm a very outgoing person and I love having many friends, but there's only a few close friends who I can trust. True friends are hard to come by these days, but I do have a couple that I can fully trust and depend on. These are the only people that know the real me.... Anyways, I love to have a great time no matter what I'm doing and I always enjoy taking a day or two to visit family & friends, hunting, fishing, and running around in Knoxville going to the movies when I am home off the road. But of coarse when I am on the road, I love making new friends and fans and getting to know people all over this country and people from different countries as well. I also want to mention that I appreciate and love all kinds and styles of music, and there's just about no type of music I dislike except for todays pop & rap (and I absolutely hate them). I would give my reasons why on here, but I'm sure it would offend quite a few so I'll keep it to myself lol ;) ... Anyways, thanks again for checking me out on here, feel free to send me a message or comment! And before I stop typing, I want everyone reading this to know that I am a Christian, and I thank God for letting me travel and do what I love! God Bless!
PS... Evan & Joe: you guys are my brothers and I want you to know that you mean the world to me. I'd do anything for yall!

I'm so glad we got to hang out a little at last! Hope your drive home wasn't too crazy (is that an oximoron or what? I mean, you're with Larry - what's not to be crazy? *chuckle* ) Peace and blessings
