Kalva is an alias of UK based dj and producer Alex Calver aka Calvertron & 1 half of Twocker. Alex has been producing and releasing different forms of house, techno and Trance since 2002 and totted up well over 100 releases to date, already gaining success with releases on Ministry of Sound, Cr2 & Fingerlickin to name a few.
Kalva is a new venture and a new sound for Alex taking big influence from such artist as the Dubfire, Koen Groenevled, Funkagenda, Steve Angello and other leaders of the big room techno/house scene.
Over the coming Months you can expect exciting things with releases lined up on the most respected labels in the scene such as Toolroom, Cr2, Global Underground & Extravaganza. Already huge support has been gained from likes of Mark Knight who quoted Kava & Paul Thomas’ upcoming release on Toolroom “Rizer” as his biggest tune of ADE!
There are also many remixes in the pipeline including a Massive rework of Sander Kleinenberg’s ‘My Lexicon’ which is set to do some damage mid 2009…
