Biography
Their first official release called “Lights Out EP” became a hit on the Balance record pool chart and reached 16th place after only 2 weeks. The duo's second release, a melodic proggy tinged track called "Liquid Fantasy" became an immediate hit and bounced directly into the No.2 spot in the Release records promo chart.
Without a doubt, the guys are in strong demand for remixing and production and have been for many years! The extensive list of remixes they've produced include industry respected names such as; Mark Trophy, Federico Epis, Mohawk, Openair, Warren Clarke, Anything But Monday, Autophase and Tim Andresen. Plus additional remixes for some of the leading underground labels including: Big Love, BEBR, What Happens, Suesse and a major one - Universal.
2010 has seen the guys emerge on the techno side, as their musical tastes have evolved. Giving a dark, dirty and twisted edge to their music, instantly got them signed to premier techno labels such as Respekt and Rekluse, with their tunes instantly storming the charts and radio playlists! These new kids on the techno block are quickly spreading their sound over the planet with releases and remixes on Silence Through Music, MUM, Baroque, Flow, Stripped, McGroove and Inkfish to name but a few.
In their restless remix studio sessions, they have given their sonic touch to Dave Seaman & Andy Chatterley, Ran Shani, Russell G & Maxi Valvona, Kassey Voorn, Subfractal and OMB.
Alex and Filip have received the support and respect from well established DJ's such as; John Digweed, Spektre, Fergie, Dave Seaman, Joseph Capriati, Marco Bailey, Tom Hades, Miniminds, Nick Warren, Loco & Jam, Jim Rivers, Mr. Henry Von, Eddie Halliwell, Loco & Jam, Dubfire and Tomy DeClerque to name but a few!
In recent years Alex and Filip have performed in all the major clubs across Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Bosnia and Bulgaria. The duo have shared the decks with some of the world's finest spinners such as; Umek, Valentino Kanzyani, Adam Beyer, Scarlett Etienne, Paul Woolford, The Beginerz, Steve Porter, Cristian Varella, Technasia to name but a few. Their Traktor & Ableton show goes way beyond just DJing, as they wow crowds time after time! As successful DJ's and Producers, Alex and Filip are also indulging in their passion of managing their own record label - Mirabilis Records!
The label was born in 2009 and has created a worldwide buzz since its very first release. Support within the industry has been well received from artists such as; Nick Warren, Henry Saiz, King Unique, Fergie, James Talk, Jody Wisternoff, Paolo Mojo, Oliver Moldan, Mark Knight, Funkagenda and Dave Seaman. Mirabilis Records was truly catapulted to the stars when Sasha and Digweed dropped Ran Shani's "Classics" on the boat party at the World Music Conference!
So far the Mirabilis family includes Paolo Mojo, Ran Shani, Oliver Moldan, Miniminds, Jet Project, Tom Budden, Steve Haines, Ignas, Facundo Mohrr, Liz Cirelli & Minski, Stu Hirst, Kastis Torrau & Donatello, Sebastian Davidson, Tim Andresen and Andy Newland & Oscitone. This label is definitely the one to watch!
In addition to this success, the boys have also presented an extensive list of live and studio mixes for some of the most renowned radio stations including; The Ministry of Sound Radio, Proton, Frisky, Pure Fm, Di Fm, Mainframe, Electronic Groove Podcast, Radio Salomon, Kiss Fm Romania, Innervisions Radio, House FM and Dance FM. Each show has been positively acclaimed by the audience. With a classy choice of tracks, combined with a superb mix and mash style makes their sets a real treat for the ears.
