i'm terrible at customer service, somewhat intense, and i'm really into your mom--. i dig heavily on poetry, the kind that moves below the surface. other books, too, can't be ignored. --because i care what you think of me, i spend a good amount of time editing and revising my casual letters and emails . . . i love old-ass music, and long, slow movies. i won't go w/out sharp and "alternative" comedy (jim gaffigan, louis c.k., etc) . also, my family is past awesome. my spelling is weird, math makes me temperamental, and my handwriting looks like a child's. never let them say i'm a bad tipper. --oh yeah, i make off-the-wall jokes compulsively, and like to curse a lot.
....--INTERESTS: i've found that certain poems can change the way people think and live, nothing else is like it. also, my dog is an awesome dog; he's sort of a perfect creature, but needs his teeth cleaned. i love nighttime, soundlessness, bleak poems weird movies and sad music.
Who I'd like to meet:
(dudes below: garcia lorca, franz wright, james wright, leonard cohen, w.s. merwin, miles davis, georg trakl)
...i like strange and troubled persons, with a few of the following traits: honest. never liters. arty. bookish. tolerant. selfless and sensitive. imaginative. bored with the mainstream. into poems. not against being naughty. likes counter-culture and stuff that's generally unconventional . . . i also love dog and cookie lovers.
Thank's for the Mallarme. I almost bought one of his books the other day, but I am working on fun things right now so I am avoiding (neglecting) serious works at present. Save for Dr. Turner's. You know how it is...mentor love. Anyway, you famous yet? I'm not, so I keep hoping I will know someone who is, and I've been away from TX for a month now, so it could have happened. Just making sure I stay in the loop. How's grad school going?
