Welcome to MySpace Music of Maestro Alexey Kurkdjian and his Sphaera Ensemble!
Formed and lead Sphaera Ensemble orchestra, a chamber orchestra dedicated to the research and fusion of XX century and contemporary music, had done worldwide premieres of many different composers from around the world, as well as many compositions dedicated specific to the ensemble.
With the branching of the ensemble he add a rock band to the orchestra, receiving excellent feedback from the media and general public, for his work with the Sphaera Ensemble and Sphaera Rock Orquestra, he's being doing interviews in radio, magazines, newspaper and even TV shows and had an European release of his composition “ A Camponesa” in Greece by Gruppetto Quartet.
His versatility is what allows him to act as a multi instrumentalist, conductor, orchestrator, and composer is also what leaded him to recently take part in the new album of worldwide famous rock band Sepultura named “A-lex” as arranger, orchestrator and conductor of the orchestra.
With the guitar player Andreas Kisser, he formed the duo AK&AK, with violin and classical guitar, with songs that goes from classical to rock music.
He had done work with artists like Sepultura, Biohazard, Exodus, Marcos Frota, Paralamas do Sucesso (the biggest selling band in Brasil) Dominguinhos, Francis Hime, the pianist Joao Carlos Martins, the drummers of samba school Vai-Vai, among many others.
He has been acting as a guest conductor along with FAAM, and had done concerts with the Tom Jobim Orchestra , The Bachiana Philharmonic Orchestra, in many city and states throughout Brazil.
As a conductor was awarded with the FIFA..s banderole held on the reception of FIFA and CBF inspectors, occasion that conduct the “Orquestra Bachiana Youth Orchestra”, that had the samba school ensemble Vai-Vai as a guest. Alexey Kurkdjian has been violinist in many different orchestras in Sao Paulo and guitar player in many industry active rock bands. Since early 2008 is the conductor for SAMA Minassian Choir (Sao Paulo Armenian community), is the main conductor for Villa Lobos Conservatory Orchestra, where also teach violin lessons, and which has been doing constant concerts all over Sao Paulo and surroundings theaters.
The conductor Alexey Kurkdjian has a major in music, with B.M. in violin and conducting by FAAM ( Faculdade de Artes Alcantara Machado / Alcantara Machado College of Fine Art ) Besides he had studied vocal and singing techniques, piano, practice in orchestration among other subjects, in college had participate in all activities regarding conducting and compositions.
