we would like to introduce to you the founder of Monkee Platez:
alex fiction is producer, artist, liveact and dj.
Here are some interesting facts on the background of this gifted start-up artist and entrepreneur:
As early as he can remember, alex was vibing to music and playing all kinds of instruments on his own as well. He started learning to play the harmonica ("The thing with the keys that you can blow in!") back in his kindergarden years to the time he had been chewing on it until it was broke. So he got himself a guitar and developed his musical skills.
In his early teenage years the fiction played rhythm guitar and yelled with a crossover band in his home town. With 16 alex fiction wrote his first rap lyrics after having been freestyling for two years. from then on he became fond of the Hip Hop culture and it is still a big part of his life. Whether it was beatmaking, rapping, graffiti writing or breaking, you name it, he did it all.
His first attempts in electronic music were rather with a goa touch to it as he had been to a lot of raves back then. After a break of two years he started doing electronic music all over again. Mostly together with one of his closest friends, they started producing body-moving progressive-house tracks right away.
Being eager to get these tracks out there to you people, he listened to the voice in his head that was steady telling him to believe in his dreams and just be faithful so everything turns out just fine. We guess that voice was right after all...

Die Macher der Interference Reihe halten seit nun mehr als 5 Jahren die Fahne für "The Soulful Face of Drum&Bass" in Köln hoch. Mit exquisiten Bookings sorgen Drakestar, Decon und Rui Fernandes immer wieder für Aufsehen und erstklassige Drum&Bass Nächte. Nachdem wir mit den drei Interference-Machern im März eine wunderbare Party zusammen gefeiert haben, wiederholen wir das ganze im Dezember in der ehemaligen Interference-Stammlocation! Das Apropo wurde vor kurzem ordentlich aufgepeppt, mit größerer Tanzfläche, neuer Anlage und Lichteffekten. Wir freuen uns auf eine fette Interference-Apropo-Revival-Party!
