Husband. Father. Reader. Writer. Editor. Aggressive Film Lover. I'm married to my beautiful dancer and Pilates instructor wife Nicole; I am father to three wonderful sons, Ari (5), Elijah (3) and Soren (born March 5, 2007), with whom I wrestle a lot, and by whom, invariably, I end up getting hit over the head with a lightsaber or two. And no, Soren isn't getting involved quite yet. We'll give him a couple months to find the ability to lift his own head first. Reading consumes some of my time, and truthfully its become an obsession, that keeps me buying and stacking and reading books and leaving them all over the house, much to the chagrin of my wife. As a hobby, reading is second only to film consumption. I write periodic articles and essays for magazines, newspapers, websites and weeklies, and a couple years ago I wrote a little book about filmmakers and spirituality called THE HOLLYWOOD PROJECT. I also co-edited a book titled PRACTITIONERS, which features a variety of very talented theologians discussing emerging theologies. For several years now I have worked as the acquisition editor at Regal Books in southern California, where all day long, I spend my time developing new book projects with a wide variety of talented authors and authors-to-be. I love the publishing business because a well-written book with unique and powerful voice can change a person's perspective on an issue, and through that, can actually change his or her life (and therefore, the world!!!).
