London-based group ‘Alex Haynes & The Fever’ started playing together in 2006 and by the autumn they were impressing audiences with their live shows. They play rootsy blues with a passion and verve rarely seen in today’s music scene. Coming across like some lost outtake from Scorsese’s ‘The Last Waltz’ they switch between acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, drums, percussion, accordion, harmonica…. whatever it takes to present the songs in the best way.
Good meeting you last nite n thanks for the feedback at the end - lovin your sounds - hope to catch you play sometime soon. Maybe sort out something together too.
This is the best stuff I've heard on MySpace yet. Really impressed. If you fancy adding a Dobro/Guitar/Vocalist to your three piece for a gig or to, I'd be happy to do it. I'll get myself down to the Plough on Thursday if I can.
I'm at the Borderline on Saturday, if you're around.

Glad I came down to see you in Leeds, very impressed. Although you are the brother of my Spanish teacher still thought you were 'mazing. Will try and see you next time im in London. Tell us when you're next up in Leeds!
Nice top tune Alex and the boyz. Rootsy stuff... Alex I want to hear more from you. Do you still have the same phone number as when you were in the toon ?
It seems that you're musical range is indefatigable. This batch of songs is a noticeable departure from the throat-ripping blues you belt out... Still, these songs find themselves wrapped in the same quality as the previous.
I love the arrangement on "Cold Feet." Is that a B3 back there? Nice Uke solo... Don't hear many of those.
It's great to see that you're playing about London town.
Cheers to you.

Greetings from Saratoga Springs, NY - I'm trying to catch up with my "Thanks for the add" messages...so thanks for the add..or was it the request...Love your slide work and bluesy sound! Check out my stuff too if you like...
Ahhh... I'll be downloading "Nobody Come to Call" tomorrow... Hit a real grove with some funk underneath. Great tune. Keep pushing it, Alex.

You know you've talent when you can effortlessly pull off the bright "Out on Saturday Night," and reach deep for the stirring, "Ease my Load."
Hope to see that you're playing out.
Keep us updated.

Alex! How things? Your music thingy isn't working at the moment, so I'm just imagining it instead. "Well, I'm so tired of crying, but I'm out on the road again. (I'm on the road again.)
I ain't got no woman Just to call my special friend."
