Alex cut her folk music teeth singing in the car on long road trips as a child. She has been playing in and around Toronto for 18 years, first as the lead vocalist of a series of Celtic rock bands and more recently as a solo folksinger/songwriter, accompanying herself on guitar. Alex's original songs are insightful, heartfelt and often funny. Her voice is powerful and intense, and on a good day, will make all the hair stand up on the back of your neck - in a good way.
All of the recordings posted on this page were recorded by Jody Howson @ Palace Room Studio, Toronto, August 2007
