   About Alex Hills
my name is alex... if you like what you hear, let me know. i've been playing piano for about 16 years and i'm a recent graduate from the new school for jazz and contemporary music.

i'm inspired by things that i've encountered and experienced. these "things" could be numerical patterns and mathematical equations, people i know and their names, places i've been, or music that i've listened to.

i've studied with kirk nurock, andy milne, lee ann ledgerwood, charlie banacos, rory stuart, miles donahue, and ralph funaro to name a few.

i'm currently in a few different groups that play around nyc including a joint project with chris tordini, curtis macdonald's quartet, tiombe lockhart's army of love, and keegan dewitt and the sparrows. i've also been working on some solo stuff.

this is my music page, if you're looking for my personal page, go to Skills Hills

and now for something completely random...

Your music never gets boring, Its been up as my profile music for months now. I wish sometime i could get the chance to jam with you. Right now im working with a pianist that is obsessed with atonal music, which makes the product a little weird.
