Alexie is a solo project fronted by Alex Skochinski. The name "Alexie" was a nickname he received from a teacher while he was in high school at St. Patricks in his hometown of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Shy and insecure by nature, never wanting to share his music it often was forgotten and lost after writing it. Soon after some friend hearing the short lived songs, it was suggested that they be recorded at least for memory's sake. thus when they were recorded they were shared on the internet for his friends and family's enjoyment. Thus, Alexie was born.
