I first began the art of female illusion in 1995 and after a time of retirement, Alexis DeVaroe WolfChase decided to come back from her extended sabbatical.

My nickname "Big Momma" was bestowed upon me by Miss Dominique Sanchez, Miss Gay America 2003, because she says I mother everyone.....I thought it was because I was old or because of my waist size(just joking).......It has however caught on, and most people only know me as Big Momma, which I really love, and as a result my husband, Scott has become "Big Daddy" because he is ALWAYS there to help out any of the girls when they are performing and because he is 6 foot 5 inches tall and wears a size 16, yes sixteen shoe.

Alexis appeared for over a year as a show cast member and helper at BackStreet along with the talents of her very dear and much admired friend Ms. Dominique Sanchez (Miss Gay America 2003) who is the show director, along with Ms. Brooklyn Bissett, Ms. Charnay Cassidine, Ms. Kamrin Mikals, Miss Imani Starr, Miss Veronica DuVall, and Ms. Roxie Starlite WolfChase, and our frequent show cast guest, Ms. Kelly Cruise.

During this time Alexis also worked as needed at Discovery Night Club with Miss Sanchez and many top rated National Entertainers such as Charity Case (MGA 00), Rachel Erikks (MGA 04),China Collins, and many others.

BackStreet and Discovery were home to the Miss Gay America Pageants for some 26 years before the club's owner Norman Jones sold the pageant system to L&T Entertainment. Norman Jones is also known as Norma Kristi, Miss Gay America Emeritus 1973.

Alexis was also a frequent guest in the Raven St. James (Miss Gay Arkansas America 2007) Comedy Tour Show at BackStreet on Sunday Nights and guest hosts for Raven when she takes a night off. Since the beginning of 2009, Big Momma has filled in and then began alternating Saturday nights every other week with Raven St. James in the Sizzlin Saturday’s Show at BackStreet, which is co-hosted by Big Momma’s sister Krystal Karrington (Miss American Empress Intl. 2009-10)

"Big Momma" hosted her own show at The Factory on Sunday night until the club closed. Her show Big Momma’s Burgers, Beer and Cabaret was an early show that featured two weekly guests and a cameo by a third performer. Talent such as Tionne Iman Page Alexander, Breeanna Braxton Page Alexander, Gigi Galore, Veronica Duvall, Roxie S. WolfChase. Summer Rain, Monica DeAngelo and others were Big Momma’s guests.

Alexis also appears at Club UBU in Little Rock and at Jester’s in Hot Springs. (Hot Spring's great night spot) both in shows and assisting with productions. Alexis can also be seen at other venues throughout Arkansas and the neighboring states....JUST WATCH HER CALENDAR

Alexis competed in numerous pageants. I feel that I have been blessed to compete alongside such wonderful contestants and have deepened many relationships by working side by side with all of the girls.

Big Momma has moved from the realm of competition in the last few years to the arena of judging both in the female illusionist pageants, the male illusionist pageants and into the real girl pageantry systems. Big Momma is a fair and just judge, bordering on being the Simon Cowell of judging due to the being very honest and direct with critiques but also just as quick to offer the positive and career propelling encouragement as well. The Wolfchase clan has grown and now includes several male and female children....my STAR children are Miss Roxie Starlite WolfChase, who has come into her own as a performer and is the current Miss Gay Twin Cities USofA, Emeritus, as well as 1st Alt. Miss Gay Heart of the Ozarks FFI and Miss Dayna Nicole DeVoux WolfChase, who is amazing and is the current reigning Miss Gay Arkansas Newcomer FFI and a new daughter who will soon appear upon the scene . I am so proud of these young ladies and their accomplishments in this art form. My boys include, Big Black Man aka as “Jeremy WolfChase”, Josh, my favorite son-in-law, and several other hotties I keep hidden…LOL.

I came back home to LR (after almost 6 years in Houston, TX) in the spring of 2005 to care for my mom (and my best friend), who had been diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer. Mom passed away June 21, 2005. I was given the gift by my mom of knowing that I could be anything I chose to be in life.

I had a great professional experience in Houston, but it sure is nice to be back home.

My Prince Charming is Scott( aka Big Daddy WolfChase), and he is awesome. It’s interesting that just a few short years (1998) ago he was my best friend, but someone who I never would have dreamed would be interested in me. He is a typical southern gentleman, hard-working, responsible, genuine, and he is as committed to God, family, and friends, as I am. We truly compliment each other very well. AND…. He is 40, 6’5”, a real woofy bear…..he’s an absolute hottie, but what is most wonderful about him is the person he is inside. What more could I hope for, a great man, great character, beautiful personality, and a hunk too. And he comes with a wonderful family that give me as much love and acceptance, as if I were their own.

Big Daddy is a huge fan of the illusionary arts and of pageantry in both the drag world and in the real girl systems. He attends all of the pageants that I judge and at many of the shows I do. He operates the spot lights, assists with set-ups and tear-downs, serves as a back-stage drag slave and generally throws in his help where anyone needs a hand. He enjoys helping all the girls with anything they need assistance with backstage and also serves as a pageant promoter as well.

In twelve years, I have never heard another person say a negative word about him, as he is kind, gentle, and always willing to be supportive where ever he is needed. I also have never spoken ill of him in that time and see nothing but good radiating from him 24/7. He is a genuinely great man.

I am a dad, and would like to have another child by adoption someday. My son is 21 years old and graduated with honors. He is now completing a BS degree at a well known college and will soon be entering Dental School.

Spirituality is a very important part of my life and my orientation and my religious beliefs blend quite well. My faith forms the basis of my value system of honesty, integrity, and mercy.

I am always open to expanding my social interests. Life is a learning process, and each new person I meet shares something from which I learn. I love history, travel, and exploring new places, and dining out. I love spending time with my man and our friends in bookshops, antique malls ,and taking trips together. I love the beautiful mountains of the Ozarks.

I love to read and especially the Patricia Cornwell books, as they reflect actual science, and the story lines always leave you guessing until the very last page. I have read every book she has written.

I have two professional licenses in two different fields ( nursing & funeral directors), and my terminal degree is a doctorate, Ph.D. (Theology, Divinity) in a third field. I currently am employed as a nurse within the home health arena working as the after hours nurse from four in the evening until seven in the morning. I enjoy very much the night work and it fits quite nicely as well with my entertaining schedule...
