About me:

I'm the creator and editor of TRASHWIRE.COM. I absolutely love writing reviews and editorials for the site or getting submissions from new writers looking to get their stuff on Trashwire. I love comedy of any kind, sketch, stand-up, TV shows, movies, people, anything that is clever, original, and makes me laugh is cool.

Follow me on Twitter @AlexisGentry

You can also check out AlexisGentry.net for more information about me and to read my latest blog post. I tend to update that blog more than this one because I'm usually on myspace in the trashwire account and not my personal one.

Who I'd like to meet:

People who like my website, people who absolutely love watching bad movies, anyone who gets obsessed with Big Brother in the summers like I do, fans of My Chemical Romance, people who live for South Park, geeky boys cuz they're hot, non-geeky boys who are also hot, anyone who's funny, people who love to write like I do, smart and funny people in Denver or Boulder, people with strong opinions, people who don't take themselves too seriously, anyone who can rejoice in trashy reality TV for hours on end but still enjoy a fantastic art house movie

    Hey!

How are you? I hope you are well, but I don't know for sure as I haven't seen you in a bit.

I have been locked away finishing an album that I feel is really quite good. I can tell I'm almost done because I'm starting to get ideas for the next one.

Anyways, it's all just mixing now, listening over and over to the cd and making little tweaks here and there. Also I got a library card! Did you know the library has not only good books but MOVIES you can borrow FOR FREE? That is SWEET!

Well two things... one is that it's probably about that time we hang out and do something social, and number two, there's a sweet event in boulder I'm driving to this sunday that you are cordially invited to as well. Here is a blurb:

    http://sfpj. org/SFPJ/RESISTING_EMPIRE. html

    Resisting Empire Speaking Tour with

    Camilo Mejia and Boots Riley

6-8 PM, Sunday, November 9, Old Main Chapel, CU-Boulder Campus

The Coup frontman Boots Riley will appear at CU to introduce Iraq War Resister Camilo Mejia before Boots' evening performance with Tom Morello at the Fox Theater in Boulder. Staff Sergeant Camilo Mejia was the first veteran to publicly refuse to redeploy to Iraq. He is the Board Chair of Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) and has written a memoir, Road from ar Ramadi.

Well that's that. I hope you're well, and talk to you soon.

Zack and Miri seems to follow the recipe for a great comedy. It takes one part View Askew cynical humor, one part Seth Rogen, a sprinkle of familiar faces from the Judd Apatow universe, and a little bit of romantic comedy sweetness, all garnished with a dash of full-frontal Jason Mewes, to make something that achieves what Clerks II only wished it could.
