Alexis was born in August 1984 in Modesto, CA. She attended Woodrow Elementary, Somerset Middle School, and Fred C. Beyer High School.

Shortly before graduation from high school, she decided to audition for the first season of American Idol. So, at 17, she skipped school just before finals to drive more than 300 miles alone to Los Angeles for a 40-second audition. Although competing with more than 10,000 Idol-hopefuls, only 10 remained when Alexis left the show.

After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her music interests. She attended Pierce College in Woodland Hills, CA, where she studied Linguistics and Music, and then went on to earn a full scholarship to the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA.

Alexis has been working in recording studios since she was 14 years old, not only as an artist and studio vocalist, but also as a recording engineer and a producer. Although her primary focus has been on her education, she has also managed to tour with several major acts at venues including MGM Grand, Cal Expo, Universal Amphitheater, and other major locations across the U.S.

She is currently back in the studio full time, working to complete a volume of songs, to draw from for her upcoming album.

May 2009, So here it comes again, another American Idol finale at the Nokia Theatre. Expect Alexis to be there with other American Idol favorites, signing autographs, taking pictures and saying hi to the fans.

April 2009, Alexis is currently in the studio re-recording a few of the songs she had recorded for other projects. Watch her Myspace Song Page for clips of these new versions.

January 2009, as scheduled, Alexis is stepping aside as lead singer for the LA-based rockband she's been writing for in order to focus primarily on her solo projects and allowing them to pursue a more permanent situation.

On November 25th two of Alexis’ Christmas songs “Winter Wonderland” and “An American Christmas” (an Alexis original) will be released on Chenoa/EMI Records. This will be an Idol compilation album including Idols of various seasons. It will be available in Wal*Mart and Borders and most major retail outlets. Watch for it!

The album release party was "standing room only" at The Factory in Hollywood, CA on November 14th! Nikki McKibbin, Amy Davis, and Alexis rocked the house and the entire place was swarming with media from the Red Carpet to the stage. Check back for posted photos soon!

In October, Alexis is recording an inspirational song for one of her favorite charities, The First Tee. Their mission is to impact the lives of youths by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf. Alexis will be performing the song at the National Network Meeting held in San Jose, California in February of 2009.

Until the end of the year (2008) Alexis will be filling in as lead singer for the band “Landrum.” Watch for their upcoming shows in the So-Cal area. These guys rock!
