"Alex Levine comes at you like a ghost, a fog of fear & untouchable. He holds close himself & palms his friends gently with a strong love. He speaks words with a candor that hangs for dreams to swallow. And they all remember without knowing he came. Across the night his walk leaves stars to look up and on as if his strange familiar is close and foreign still. He leaves pieces in giving and gets from those he dare not ask. All he has he has in need since want can't breathe within him. He is & is he."

"The Philadelphia-born travellin man has re-set his roots in Hawaii after spending time out west in Arizona. Not surprisingly, the majority of his songs are about the wandering nomad lifestyle on the road and the search for ones true sense of self. His self-proclaimed "desert rock" style is a rootsy-groove of major chords and syncopated rhythms.
His voice is familiar yet unique, and his sound is a memorable form of gritty pop music that is dusty and mellowed, taking the listener on a slow ride through Levines tales of looking back, movin on, and the ever present desire for change.
If escapism is what you want, all while bobbing your head to a catchy guitar groove, Alex Levine will take you on a journey through the desert and back again, without making you mind so much about the dust on your shoes."
