Alex Matheson is a singer/songwriter from Halifax, NS. She has been singing since an early age and has been writing her own songs for many years. Alex sets a fine example of Canadian musical talent. Her style is a blend of country, pop and rock which gives her recordings a very commercial sound. Alex cites artists from all genres of music as her influences. Bob Dylan, U2, Tom Petty and Shania Twain have all been inspirations to her. Alex launched her debut EP this year and is actively promoting her music to audiences and media. She and her band showcased their music at the 2009 ECMA's on the Discovery Stage and are planning a tour through the Maritmes.
