For the last 3 years, Alex Quinn has been making a name for himself as a vibrant, charismatic and much sought after solo artist. He Has played regularly at venues and festivals across the north of England even gigging at a large open air festival in Norway. Alex has a large following and has now decided to take things to the next level...
The Man in The Street are a three piece group of hand picked musicians who have been working and performing with Alex since early 2008.
Jon Abdy has been playing bass in various bands since time began. He has played in rock, folk, acoustic and punk bands. He has a very easy style of bass that can be quiet and melodic one minute and driving and rhythmic the next.
Tut Sutcliffe is a versatile drummer who adds energy to the band. He has played with Alex and Jon in a previous band and has a very insightful understanding of the way Alex wants his music to sound. He plays with flare and passion whilst remaining a tight and solid drummer.
The band are hard to categorise but are influenced by Springsteen, Martyn Joseph, Coldplay, The Goo Goo Dolls, U2 and Seth Lakeman.
They are a talented band who have been impressing wherever they have played.
