For better or for worse, I've stopped watching television. If I had a DVR, I'd probably watch television again. The problem is that, without a DVR, the television gets to decide what I watch. I'd rather decide what to watch...and for that to happen, I need a DVR. Every once in a while I'll turn on the TV, but, because I don't get to pick what I want to watch, I end up watching whatever's on.

About me:

..

Magazines are interesting to read. As proof of that statement, I read magazines. I read The American Conservative, Reason, The Week, and Popular Science, all very intersting reads. I used to read Liberty, but it's more about economics than about liberty, so it bored me. I can solve the Rubik's cube in less than 1 minute...but then again, who can't?

Look for me on www.facebook.com!

Look up my youtube channel!

Life of Harvey

What's the last thing of note that Harvey did?
I found water in the trunk of my car! This sucks!

What's Harvey up to these days?
Making my apartment a place I can call 'home'. Learning the ropes at my job.

How's school?
Because Boeing will pay for my continuing education, this question will soon be valid again. Just not yet.

How's the Knights of Columbus thing going?
Er...I'm looking for the council near me.

What are the Knights of Columbus?
A Catholic fraternity that started out during the Irish wave of immigrants. At the time, those immigrants were doing jobs Americans didn't want (actually, it's jobs that were low-paying, and a surplus of people willing to work for low wages kept the wages low); it also happened that those jobs were dangerous. So dangerous, in fact, that no American corporation would sell life insurance to the Catholics (were the Irish really the first Catholics here? Or were they the first Catholics who wanted life insurance?). So they banded together, formed a fraternity called the Knights of Columbus, and sold each other life insurance. Nowadays, it still has life insurance, but it's expanded to other services Catholics need, as well as the community. It encompasses more than what the moniker 'philanthropic fraternity' would convey, but it's a start.

Is Harvey still in the Army?
Nope! And, to answer your next question, no I won't sign up again.

Why aren't you blogging everyday?
Hopefully, I'll start up again, soon. I do miss it.

Who I'd like to meet:

..I finally understood what myspace is asking here. I'd like to meet people who think they can beat me at chess. I hardly ever play, so how hard could it be? Nobody I know plays, so I don't get much, if any, practice. Still...you have to have skillz to challenge me.

I now realized why Myspace is so boring...  It's because the thing that makes Facebook so annoying, aka the Stalker's Feed, also is what keeps things active over there.  But I like check in on things here every now and again.
