I just got married to the lovely Mary, and we live together in an amzing old house we just bought together in Denville, New Jersey. We live there with our two awesome cats, Maya, and our very own catzilla, Abigail.
Professional Bio Matthew is currently the Director Of Internet Marketing at The Corcoran Group, Manhattan's Largest Real Estate Agency. He is responsible for the development of the strategic direction and tactical implementation of corcoran.com and supporting web marketing platforms. He is tasked with optimizing website performance, translating brand image and positioning online, increasing interactivity across various users; streamlining and developing innovative web content; developing digital marketing options for agents and transition print marketing and advertising into a strong and effective online/digital voice.
Matthew works closely with the technology and advertising departments to create comprehensive solutions and improvements to current web marketing programs; ensuring consistency of representation of the Corcoran brand. He also makes posters :
Prior to joining Corcoran, Matthew was the Creative Director for Music Choice, the multi-platform music network that reaches millions of consumers through their TVs, PCs, and cell phones. Music Choice programs both video and audio music channels, produces exclusive music shows, films in-studio artist performances and interviews, and distributes daily entertainment news.
Shadbolt was responsible for managing a team of eight graphic designers and editors, whose responsibilities include the creation of all cross-platform visual aspects of Music Choices output.
Shadbolt was also charged with creating customized video promotions for advertising sales clients. He recently designed campaigns for Diet Sprite Zero, Saturn and Geico. He designs all corporate materials including brand identity and logo design, product development, affiliate collatoral and interactive demonstrations.
Prior to Music Choice, Shadbolt was Manager of Graphics at QVC Inc., where he oversaw the creative strategy and production of QVCs broadcast output, as well as interactive television product development, creative brand strategy and television marketing initiatives.
Shadbolt got his start in the design field at Edit Design Studio and The DRS Advertising Agency in London. Prior to joining QVC Inc., he was the Senior Interactive Designer at QVC UK in London, where he developed the worlds first real-time interactive television impulse purchasing application, QVC Active, for the Sky Digital Satellite service. In addition to this he was responsible for the graphic creation of www.qvcuk.com, as well as the companys 2001 cross-platform network rebrand.
Shadbolt graduated from the Jan van Eyck Akademie in The Netherlands with a Postgraduate Laureate, specializing in Interactive Design. Shadbolt also taught Introduction to Computational Form on the graduate Graphic Design course at Yale University in 2005. He has also taught Graphic Design and Critical Fine Art Practice at numerous academic institutions including Oxford University, Kingston University, The University of Maastricht, Middlesex University and the Art Institute of Philadelphia.
His prior speaking engagements include the International Symposium on Electronic Art, The Center for Old and New Media (Amsterdam), Stichting de Geuzen (Amsterdam) and the European Media Art Festival. His work has been published in numerous magazines and publications, including Eye, MacFormat and Metropolis M. His work has received many online awards, and he was the recipient of the Jan van Eyck Akademie Purchases and Collection Award in 1998.
Shadbolt has been a member of the New York Chapter of AIGA since 2004 and is an active member of the Anglo-Zulu War Historical Society.
