ALHAMBRA K. è un collettivo musicale con sede a Bologna aperto a varie contaminazioni etniche, popolari e psichedeliche. Hanno collaborato con Alhambra Chris Karrer degli Amon Duul II, Lothar Stahl dei Checkpoint Charlie, Christian Burchard degli Embryo (esponenti del Kraut rock tedesco) e numerosi musicisti bolognesi che condividono la passione per la psichedelia e le sonorità etniche.
Nel dicembre 2002 è uscito l'album d'esordio "Luna Nuova" per l'etichetta indipendente Fly Agaric!, creata da Andrea Monetti, membro di Alhambra K.
Tra il 2004 ed l 2005 i componenti di Alhambra K. sono stati impegnati nelle registrazioni del secondo album, "Temporale" e si sono esibiti su numerosi palchi ed in alcune manifestazioni di sostegno ad associazioni pacifiste. Temporale è scaricabile liberamente da flyagaric.it.
Attualmente la band sta lavorando al terzo disco.
ALHAMBRA K. are an Italian “Musical Kollektiv” based in Bologna, an open project that blends progressive, psychedelia and ethnic influences. Their debut album, “Luna Nova” was released in 2002, followed in 2005 by “Temporale”. Their works have been released by Fly Agaric!, an independent label founded in 1998 by one of the members of the band, Andrea Monetti. Alhambra K.’s members have collaborated with artists such as Chris Karrer (Amon Duul II), Lothar Stahl (Checkpoint Charlie), Christian Burchard (Embryo) and with many musicians from Bologna that share their passion for psychedelic and ethnic sounds. Currently the band is working on the third disc.

Il regista vi fonde due racconti di Edgar Allan Poe (La caduta della casa degli Usher e Il ritratto ovale) con altri spunti dello scrittore americano, ma poco interessato al macabro, li rilegge in chiave animista. All'epoca godette di ampia fama anche se non ripagò i costi di produzione. In questo film compare come co-sceneggiatore e aiuto-regista il futuro maestro del cinema surrealista Luis Buñuel.
Trama: Un amico va a trovare Roderick Usher che vive nella malinconica magione con la moglie Madeline. Quest'ultima deperisce man mano che Roderick la ritrae, finché muore e viene sepolta in una cripta. Ma il suo decesso è solo apparente...
