This is the official Myspace page of Ali “The Hurricane” Oubaali, 30, was born in France, the child of a loving housewife and her humble mechanic husband. He has been boxing since he was 8 years old, when he began training and participating in Thai boxing.Oubaali ultimately won a world championship in Thai boxing, before following his older brother into the realm of traditional boxing under the Marquis of Queensbury rules at age 16. As an amateur boxer, Oubaali won 8 amateur championships throughout Europe, competing against many of today’s top rated professional boxers, including Ramazin Palyani, compiling an impressive record of 88 victories, 7 defeats, and 2 draws (66 wins by way of knockout).
Towards the end of his distinguished amateur career, Oubaali fought for France in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia.
After his participation in the Olympics, Oubaali entered the professional boxing ranks under the watchful and experienced eye of the AB Stars, the largest professional boxing promotional company in France.
Oubaali ran his record to an unblemished 14-0 (13 wins by knockout) over the next 2 years, earning an opportunity to fight in a world championship elimination bout sponsored by the Venezuelan-based World Boxing Association one of top three internationally recognized world sanctioning bodies in professional boxing. In the process, Oubaali turned himself into a star on French television and a national celebrity with his charismatic demeanor and fan friendly fighting style. Oubaali made the move to come to America, with little money in his pocket but big dreams in his heart he knew he had to come and take America by storm. He did just that on October 18, 2007, at the Manhhatan Center in New York, in front of a sold out crowd.
Oubaali stole the show and electrified the crowd in his American debut. Showing everyone why he is the known as the “Hurricane”, Oubaali was sensational, tearing through his game opponent Victorio Abadia with non-stop aggression and punching.
Oubaali was a fireball from the opening bell as he went right after Abadia throwing crisp combinations to the head and body that had Abadia reeling backwards. Abadia bravely fought back much to the crowd’s delight as the bell sounded ending round 1. Round 2 started with both fighters standing toe to toe in ring center trading bombs.
Oubaali let loose with tremendous combinations that put Abadia on the seat of pants. Abadia gamely rose as Oubaali moved in to finish him and just when it looked like the fight would be stopped Abadia caught Oubaali with a flush right. Abadia seized the opportunity as he backed up Oubaali with hard combinations to the head. At this point the crowd was in a frenzy but there was more to come.
Oubaali, showing the tenacity of a true champion, turned the tide again catching Abadia with a straight right hand backing him to the ropes as the bell sounded ending what is clearly one of the rounds of the year. Oubaali had a big round 3 continuing his relentless assault on Abadia. Round 4 opened up with Abadia showing renewed vigor but that didn’t last long as Oubaali again began to pummel his opponent prompting referee Sparkle Lee to halt the action at 1:27 of the fourth round of the scheduled 8 round bout. Oubaali improves to 20-3 17 KO’s, while Abadia slips to 22-6-2 8 KO’s.
While not boxing for pay during the past six years, Oubaali has also sparred with many fellow top flight professional boxers in the gym, including former world title challenger Miguel Callist, former world champion Mayhar Monshipour, and current world champion Souleymane M’Baye

Ali Oubaali est né à Courrières dans le Pas-de-Calais, il est le sixième enfant d'une très grande famille qui en compte 18 !
Son père Mr Azzouz Oubaali était chef d'équipe de mineurs. Ce patriarche exemplaire a élevé ses enfants à la dure en leurs inculquants dès leurs plus jeunes âge "le sens des responsabilités". Les enfants Oubaali sont ainsi devenu très respectueux grâce à leurs père qui a trimé dur durant toute sa vie...
Originaire d'Agadir au Maroc, le père d'Ali a été aussi un bon boxeur, champion d'Afrique tout de même !
Ali grandi au sein d'une famille soudée dont les centres d'intérêts principaux sont le sport et les études. Attiré plus par le football, il y jouera longtemps et fut même capitaine en Interdistrict à Billy-Montigny sous le numéro 10. Ali commence même à rêver de devenir pro ...
Mais à seize ans lorsqu'il était lycéen son grand frère Moussa nak muay accompli est obligé de stopper sa carrière et lui demande de prendre la relève. En effet, Moussa Oubaali qui a été champion de France de muay en 97 est un véritable phénomène qui arrive à concilier longues études et sport de haut niveau. Mais en rentrant à Math Sup avec 53 heures de cours par semaines il ne pouvait vraiment plus s'entraîner sérieusement.
Ali reprend donc le flambeau et commence au Kick Boxing Club de Rouvroy tenu par Bernard Dupont, un facteur âgé de quarante ans véritable passionné de boxe.
Cet entraîneur va rapidement transmettre son savoir à son jeune poulain qui va enchaîner victoire sur victoire jusqu'à le mener aux championnats de France...
En 1996, il décroche son premier titre suivit du deuxième en 1997 contre David Bouillon. C'est aussi en 1997 qu'il réalise un combat mémorable contre la star montante du moment Kamel Jemel. Prévenu au pied levé, il s'inclinera honorablement aux points.
Ali Oubaali devient vite un des combattants du Nord les plus coriaces. Ce boxeur vaillant de 57 Kg au punch redoutable va se forger une petite réputation dans le domaine pugilistique. C'est ainsi qu'il sera surnommé "Hurricane" (l'ouragan) en mettant l'Allemand Norris KO en 30 secondes, sur un magistral coup de genou au menton en 1/4 de finales des championnats du monde IAMTF à Bangkok.
Sa voie est toute tracée dans l'histoire du muay thai car il rafle la ceinture de champion d'Europe ainsi que le titre suprême en 1996, 1997 et 1998 !
Mais lors de son service militaire au Bataillon de Joinville, il découvre la boxe anglaise et décroche la médaille de bronze aux Jeux mondiaux militaires. Une nouvelle carrière amateur s'ouvre alors à lui.
Il va faire régner la terreur dans le Nord de la France en devenant champion du Pas-de-Calais et champion des Flandres. Puis en 2000, il devient champion de France des plumes et intègre l'équipe de France. Malheureusement il manquera de peu sa qualification aux Jeux Olympiques...
En janvier 2001, il fait ses débuts en professionnel. A coup de K.O., il va gravir les échelons jusqu'au titre national. Il bat par KO, Juan Jesus Mejia au Palais des Sports à Paris.
En mars, toujours au Palais des Sports, il met KO Ahmed Merichiche. Le 28 mai à Levallois-Perret il bat par KO Bela Sandor. Mi-septembre au Maroc à Agadir dans son pays d'origine, il met KO le russe Vladimir Varhegyi. Puis à Bondy fin novembre il terrasse Imrich Parlagi par KO au deuxième rounds.
Enfin, le 23 février 2002 à Marseille, Ali bat Adolphe Avadja par KO à la sixième reprises et s'empare de la ceinture de Champion de France Pro des super-plume !
Il enchaîne des victoires par KO contre Manuel Gomes, Nuafa Singjaiyai à Tokyo, de nouveau Adolphe Avadja à Marseille, Jozef Kubovsky, Benjamin Robles Murry au Futuroscope de Poitiers, Rafael De la Cruz en Guadeloupe, Roman Lobachev au Palais des Sports de Levallois-Perret.
Seul l'expérimenté Didier Tual tiendra face à la fougue de "l'ouragan" en s'inclinant aux points en huit rounds...
C'est ainsi que le 31 janvier 2004, "Hurricane" va défier le Panaméen Vicente Mosquera à Caracas au Venezuela sur le continent du latinos. Un titre Intercontinental WBA est en jeux. Oubaali s'inclinera aux points après un match très dur en dix round. C'est sa première défaite en pro. Un an plus tard cet adversaire coriace va ravir le titre de champion WBA des poids super-plume au Thaïlandais Yodsanan Sor Nanthachai...
Mais Oubaali le battant se voit offrir une chance européenne. Ainsi, le 29 avril 2004, il rencontre le tenant du titre, le russe Boris Sinitsin. Sinitsin fort de 44 victoire dont 24 avant la limite est un vieux routard des rings. Le russe conservera sa ceinture en battant Ali Oubaali aux points dans une décision partagée, 116-113, 116-113 en faveur du boxeur de l'Est et 113-116 en faveur du français...
Ali reboxe au Palais des sports de Levallois et bat par KO Ubadel Soto. Puis à Marseille il rencontre Youssouf Djibaba pour le titre de champion de France. Il va s'incliner aux points.
Alors,une remise en question va se faire et le champion va faire un break, pensant même raccrocher les gants. Il s'absente des rings durant deux ans. Oubaali va prendre des cours de comédie et faire quelques apparitions dans le monde du cinéma ce qui va compléter son bagage professionnel déjà bien rempli. En effet, il possède un BTS de Domotique ainsi qu'un brevet d'Educateur Sportif !
Deux ans plus tard, "the Hurricane" plus fort que jamais revient balayer les rings de France et de Navarre. Le 16 décembre 2006, dans le nord de la France, Ali fait son combat de rentrée contre le Roumain Marian Cazacu. Cet encaisseur va tenir la limite en s'inclinant aux points face à l'ouragan qui reprend ses repères. Il reprend le roumain deux mois plus tard et le met KO en trois rounds.
Ali enchaîne par une victoire au point en 8 Rounds contre le Vénézuelien Pedro Verdu puis par KO contre le Russe Constantin Stan.
La machine est relancée et Oubaali va s'expatrier aux Etats-Unis où il signera un contrat avec le promoteur Joe De Guardia patron du Star Boxing à New York. Ali réside maintenant dans le quartier de Brooklyn et s'entraîne dur avec la crème des fighter américains.
Le 18 octobre 2007, au Hammerstein Ballroom de Manhattan dans une grande soirée de boxe, "The Hurricane" fait ses grands débuts aux states. Oubaali atomise le rugueux panaméen Victorio Abadia PAR KO au quatrième round dans un match prévu en huit reprises. Il signe son 17 ème KO sur vingt victoires en vingt trois combats !
L'aventure américaine lui est grande ouverte, le chemin pour le titre suprême est encore long mais "The Hurricane" n'a pas fini de nous étonner...
