  • Bio

........ ......At fourteens years of age, small town girl Alia Christian has already engraved in her mind the big Music City dream. It's hard to believe she has gone from teaching herself how to play her father's worn down Washburn from the coat closet, to making appearences in downtown Nashville in under a year. Alia regularly makes appearences at local coffee houses, but has also graced the stage at the historic Blue Bird and Douglas Corner in downtown Nashville, as well as Eddie's Attic in Decatur. .. .."I love writing music." says Alia. "You could say I have a problem, because I really don't know how to express myself any other way." Well, Alia, it's obviously a good problem to have. In the fall of 2008, Alia was chosen as one of 64 finalists (out of thousainds all over the country)to compete in a competition hosted by CMT called Music City Madness. Her submission video was highlighted on CMT.com and used in advertisements on the Top Twenty Countdown. .... Along the road, Alia has been fortunate enough to work with studio guitarist Robert Arthur (Jeff Bates, Brad Paisley) and producer/engineer, Todd Bradley (James Otto, Big Kenny of Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson and Muzik Mafia). Her vocal coach/guitar instructor, Robin Ball, has been with Alia along every step of the way. "Robin isn't just my teacher," says Alia. "she's a friend. She's been with me every step of the way and I'd be getting nowhere without her." .. .. In her own home town, she has been offered several monthly, and even weekly gigs at local resturaunts and coffee houses. "It's gotten to the point, where people are asking ..me.. to sing at ..their.. places." Alia notes, "I know that's not really a big deal, but I thought it was just the best thing ever when Eddie's Attic called." .... Whether it's a crowd of 10 or 10,000, Alia's second home is the stage. "Fame is not my dream." she notes. "My dream is to touch as many people as I can with my music, to speak to them. As long as I'm doing that, I've reached my dream." .... Headstrong with good heart, Alia is taking on the big world. And she's inviting you to come along for the ride. ................ ............ ....
