ALI ANDRESS – “THE SMALLEST MOBILE ME PLC”
ALI ANDRESS, singer, songwriter, performance artist, multi-instrumentalist, front room producer, video designer and visionary all in one.
During the live performances 42 instruments are used, Electro Beat is weaved into sounds of Aluminium sheet, Didgeridoo and pieces from the scrap yard to name but a few.
How it works?
Erasers, car tyres, whisks, welding electrodes, footsteps on sheet metal etc. are recorded in different ways, edited and ultimately intertwined to create an Electronic Pop garment.
The stage show reminds of a humanoid locomotor system machine that is ready for the life ‘out there’, and voice is used complementarily as a stylistic element for emotional awareness.
At the same time “THE SMALLEST MOBILE ME PLC” is singing and speaking in many different languages of this world.
Percussive vocal acrobatics become the means to an end.
Once more this purpose serves one aim, one cause, one vision:
THE PERFORMANCE.
It is the hub around which both music and presentation revolve, thus becoming the centre of the creative artist.
The first solo album “The Truth Lies” will be released on own label “FLUGANGSTRECORDS” in August 2007.
There are 13 songs, a musical cocktail made from Electro Beat, Didgeridoo and pop tunes.
“Electro Beat dressed up as pop”, designed by scrap yard so to speak.
