I can't wait to read The Story Sisters! The fairytales you have emailed from Elv's Black Book of Fairytales just get me hungry for more. Thankfully June is right around the corner.

I just pre-ordered The Story Sisters w/ my monthly book order from Amazon. :) Can't wait until June!

Thank you for the add. I have long been an admirer of your work -- for both adults and young adults.

Dear Alice, I'm reading The Ice Queen right now. I wanted to tell you that the neurological symptoms experienced by your character who was struck by lightning remind me very much of MS symptoms, which I have. You describe it so well, especially how difficult it is to describe vague neurological symptoms in emotional, subjective terms. I.e., early in the disease or before the diagnosis and before you get the clinical language into your vocabulary. Your ability to infuse magical qualities into ordinary experiences is what makes your writing so powerful! It goes straight to our hearts instead of being overprocessed in our heads. Kudos.

Thanks for the add. I love your writing and the way it touches me. Magical.

Practical Magic is one of my absolute favorite books. I haven't had alot of time to read lately, but when I do, I look forward to reading more of your books! Have an awesome week! ~Tessa~

Thanks for the add. I first read one of your books in college and loved it so much that I started checking out every book of yours they had. Then I started buying what they didn't. Practical Magic, The River King and The Probable Future are three of my top ten most re-read books. Keep writing!

Hi Alice! Thank you for the add. I read "Aquamarine" last night, and couldn't have loved it more. Your imagery was breathtaking, and each of your characters was so appealing, and likeable. Claire was my personal favorite, as I felt that she possessed many of the same characteristics as myself. However, I did enjoy Hailey's free-spirit, and Aquamarine's sharp tongue, as well.

Very few books have such a strong impact on me, but I found that the content of "Aquamarine" was so profound, and intoxicating, that I had to write to you. Thank you for creating such a remarkable story. It will not soon be forgotten. :)

The Riches ... yes, Minnie Driver is brittle and barely capped and funny! Good stuff. Ever watch Gilmore Girls? The final episode aired a couple of weeks ago, but it was witty and tender, a dialogue driven hour...

It's an honor to be among your friends & to read your blog (i.e., your thoughts, unedited writing, your metawriting). Thank you so much.

Hi Alice! Thanks for adding me...I love the mystical qualities of your stories and have been a fan of yours for many years. My book club read "Blackbird House" awhile back and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it, as well!

    Alice!
    Oh my, oh my.
I must say the way you write both inspires and astounds me.
Whats good enough to say to an author that you admire?
    Well, I've decided on a simple 'thank-you'.

    =D

    Love forever and always,
    Jill

Like all your other fans, I gotta say even if it sounds so cliche, I absolutely love your work! You are one of my favorite authors, very inspiring!
I see on here that I somehow missed a couple of your books, and so I am going to go online and buy them now. Keep doing what you do, and thank you so much for adding me. I am really very honored!

I walked through a wall today. An actual wall. That was interesting, but I won't do it again. Ruins your clothes. Just thought I'd share that with you so you can avoid doing it yourself.

    All the best and more,
    Sissi
