Hi, were a four piece rock band with a female vocalist based in Bridlington East Yorkshire U.K. We have played in various band line-ups over the past twenty or so years. Bands such as The Migrants, Stallion, Badge, Madras, No Quarter, Free Beer and Cool Zero. We play classic rock covers and original material with a passion, our sound is a mix of all our musical influences. Our set can include both electric and acoustic songs.Favourite covers include songs by Led Zep, Ozzy, Black Sabbath, ACDC, Audioslave,Mr.Big and Van Halen.etc. It's a pretty big set infact we once got carried away and played for three hours!!! This line-up has been going strong since 1995 in which time we have played many venues from kala's sisters hallway to Driffield Custom Bikeshow at the Showground.
to buy the cd please leave us a message the price is £6.99 including postage for Europe and £8.99 rest of world we will give you our paypal details
.REVIEW OF INTO THE DARKEST NIGHT. The name is not misleading apart from there is no-one in the band called Alice, This is an album that thunders all
the way through with huge guitar riffs, soaring vocals and a backline that shakes the floor all the way up to the
rafters.
The album starts with "In the beginning" with a huge bass riff, courtesy of Kev the pace is fast and furious till it
slows slightly in the middle when we get a guitar solo from Tony which picks up the pace again, this has got a really
infectious beat and will have heads nodding and feet stomping right from the off, we go int the darkest night, the
second track and once again a huge backline of Kev and Stu which contrasts well with Kala's higher vocals.
Yesterday has gone.. another stomper of a song although i felt Kalas vocal was lost a little in the mix here but a
nice little guitar solo in the middle.
Hush Now, to me is the highlight of the album, somewhat anthemic with the band making the most of Kala's
soaring vocals a great guitar solo and a tremendous beat and backline, if you dont listen to anything else by AIT
then listen to this song!
Slowing things down somewhat with "bathed in silver", this has a much more folky feel to it and makes a break
from the heavy headbanging of the album as a whole and shows the versatility of the band.
"Take these chains" rocks things back up again and gets you headbanging once more, still rocking hard but a little
slower than the frenetic previous song comes "From the stars" which really highlights Kala's haunting vocals and
another great guitar solo from Tony.
Another of my favourites on the album is "Listen to the music" which starts at a frantic pace with massive bass
lines and followed by another of the strongest tracks "cover you" and rocking out with "over and over"
Overall a great album with standout tracks being Hush Now, Listen to the music and cover you, this is a band with
an abundance of talent, each song is well crafted with each performer showing their abilities throughout the
album, I have also had the privelage of seeing them live and their performance is equally good on stage, in short... .
THEY ROCK!.

ALICE IN THUNDERLAND
INTO THE DARKEST NIGHT.
Receiving albums from unsigned bands can very much be a hit or miss affair, as people can appreciate funds are limited and the desire to impress high, all in order to grab the attention of that elusive A&R representative. Bridlington based Alice In Thunderland are caught right in the middle of said quandary, the actual quality of the songs on offer are produced to a high standard as is the packaging given the financial constraints. Taking a classic rock sound but with a modern fresh feel it is obvious from the offset that a lot of work has been ploughed into this album. Kicking off proceedings with In The Beginning the statement of intent is laid firmly on the table, a stomping rocker of a track and that pretty much lays the foundations for the remaining nine tracks. It’s a pleasure to hear the guitar solo alive and well, with so many bands preferring to use the ‘Breakdown’ style of guitar the solo is used here to its full extent. A I T have found an outstanding guitar player in the aptly named Tony Dean who obviously likes to shred at any given opportunity and even throws in a little bit of Eddie Van Halen on Listen To The Music. Being a female fronted band can also throw up it’s own challenges, however I believe we’ve yet to see the best from Kala who has the raw talent in abundance and just requires the right person to harness and encourage it out of her. With a rock solid rhythm section of Kev Truelove bass and Stu Millington Drums the band has plenty of bass and stomp to get the feet tapping and head banging. Sometimes it is very difficult to capture the sound and energy a band put into their show and harness that in a sterile studio environment. I’m sure that given some financial clout and the right encouragement from a likeminded record company A.I.T could produce something that could well compete with the Nicklebacks and AC/DC’s of this world. Alice In Thunderland…remember that name because if lady luck shines her light on this lot there’s gonna be a fight to sign them up.
