****Alice Lewis spent her early years in England and grew up in an English-speaking environment.
*** She recorded her first songs while at Cergy School of Fine Arts (Paris) where her work with soundtracks, installations, audio engineering and her singing practice, gradually led her towards writing music. At the same time as her studies, she also started singing in various bands.
***Later on, she was commissioned to write music for short films, dance shows and advertisements (some of which were shot by David Lynch and Patrice Leconte). This enabled her to finance her first album.
***Around the same time, she also wrote music for Agnès Bihl (Naïve) and sang backing vocals on Politics, the second album of Sébastien Tellier (Record Makers).
During the 2004/2005 winter, she travelled to China to study the Pekin Opera and Gu Zhong (Chinese harp).
***in 2005 she started to record and work on her album with Thomas Deligny***in 2006 she did quite a few concerts in Paris and around and also accompanied Eglantine Gouzy on stage (playing keaboards and machines)in a few European countries***
She devoted the year 2007 to writing the music of "the fox and the child" feature film soundtrack alongside the composer Evgueni Galperine.
