| General | I enjoy tennis to a fault. Particularly when it comes to watching it. I bought a particular cable just because it has the tennis channel. I also enjoy reading and being a grandmother. It's the most fun I've ever had with kids. | | Music | I'm a Motown baby. However, every now and again an artist strikes my fancy. Natalie Cole, Eric Clapton and most recently, Robin Thicke. My kids gave me an ipod for Christmas and nobody had to guess what tunes to download. | | Movies | I love AMC. All of the old black and whites. Particularly the old noir mysteries. I'm a sucker for stories like Cat on the Hot Tin Roof and Cannery Row. But my favorites are the soap movies on Lifetime. | | Television | Please, no reality. That's nothing real about that stuff. I'll watch Law and Order twenty four seven. And I've recently connected with CSI Miami. Something about a red head and sun shades who speaks in two-word sentences. | | Books | My favorite book of all time is Pride and Prejudice. Or any of Jane Austen's work. I also enjoy Walter Mosely. | | Heroes | My heroes are my grandmother and my mother. Two different, yet similarly strong and interesting women who even in death have a profound effect on how I think and how I feel about myself and my life. Two hard working, giving and opinionated women. |

About me:
 
I am the author of a mystery novel, OUTSIDE CHILD, and a nonfiction title, MENOPAUSE SISTERHOOD AND TENNIS. A native of New Orleans, I grew up in the Magnolia Housing Project, and later worked in public relations at the Delta Queen Steamboat Company. For the past sixteen years, I have lived in California with my husband, Frank. I am a mother of two, stepmother of three, and grandmother of eight. I enjoy playing tennis and reading, as well as writing and a continuing involvement in the education and creative development of others, especially my family and friends. I am currently working on a sequel to my debut mystery novel, Outside Child, focusing that novel on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
