Alien Kid is a drum&bass producer and dj from barcelona (Spain), pioneer in the scene of the city and known as much by his trajectory like dj, by comprising of the pair Slow Bullets, or more recently, of the trio Allied Force, project with which, next to Yolanda Benitez and Will Courtice, they burst into the London scene of the hand of Emcee Recordings with his d&b infected of soul, funk & jazz.:::::::::
After happenin through a pair of projects of hiphop, in 1997 Yolanda and AK decides to form the pair Slow Bullets, project of d&b with an wide spectre of influences, but with which already they demonstrate to its passion by black music, with songs in which d&b and downtempo coexists, sprinkled of agreed of jazz and soul voices.:::::::::
After publishing some tracks in compillations, in 2000 they release its first EP "Contact Us" with the french label Astral Productions, with six songs, between which they emphasize "My Guettoblaster" or "One Step Ahead" that becomes classic immediately of the scene in Bcn.
In 2001, Yolanda moves to London, and AK begins has to compose his firsts solo tracks, where soulful and dark atmospheres combines like "Alien is Back to the Roots" or "The Power of Underground", that begins to sound in his sessions as the first dubplates known in Bcn, and he is probably the fist dj in Spain to go to Music House (London) to cut his own stuff. In this time, AK has settled down like on of the main producers & djs of d&b in Spain, and the representative head of soulful or liquid funk (as it begins to know in those days), and becomes habitual of the main celebrations of d&b of the city, at the same time that organizes the parties "Digital Transmissions" in which it programs the best dj and live acts of d&b, nu skool breaks & hip hop of the city, and awarded by the Cuty Council of Barcelona as the Best Cultural Event in 2001.::::::::
In january 2003, and after to release "Real Life" as the first refence of the barcelonian label BcNess, he moves to London where next to Yolanda, who turned a former mc/singer in the Emcee recs parties, and Will Courtice, form the trio Allied Force. Their first tracks receive a good wellcome between top djs of London, specially Dj Flight, that from her weekly program in One Radio play their very first tunes, and soon they begin to play in small parties, although also in legendary programs like Rude Awakening, where they did monthly sessions next to djs like Danny Wheeler, Tendai, Jubei, etc and mcs like SP:MC or Gravy, and spanish guest djs like Dj Jonay. Their first 12" release in Just Noyze, sister-label of Emcee Recs. "Love Is.." / "Pimp Stash" and the second one "Boomba" / "Gather Round"
recives the support of djs like Fabio, LTJ Bukem, Friction, Bailey, Peshay, Zinc, Patife, Lemon D, and many others, and in 2005 Fabio chooses "Gather Round"
to open the cd that release the DrumandbassArena megasite: "Fabio & Grooverider". Their following releases receives equal wellcome and it consolidates them as one of the new values of d&b.:::::::::
Back to Bcn in 2006, AK follows but active than ever, producing tracks in his multiple projects, inside and outside drum&bass.::::::::
