   About A G P

The Ally G Project has nothing to do with some hairy ass'd guy in a thong who goes around speaking with a funny accent!! I was born with this name (well not project - I added that !)

Oh yeah, you won't find any nicey nicey poppy charty songs on this page, just pure rock electro! ... well apart from the odd cover of Eastenders, Dallas, Neighbours..etc..etc..

The Ally G Project is not a band as such, it's a guy, i.e. me... and a computer, some cheap software and a passion for creating some weird and wonderful music which is different to anything else you have ever heard! I have not been musically trianed but somehow I can manage to produce some decent sounding tunes. Some people play the piano to make sound, others have a guitar as their instrument of choice. My "instrument" is my computer. I "play" the computer to make my music. Well, I can play Eastenders and Chopsticks on the piano if that counts! I learn more from every song I make and try and incorporate what I have learnt into my next songs, adding to and modifying where possible to push out the boundaries of my music. Some of my early music is a bit "tongue in cheek" but at least it it should make you laugh! Especially the orcas is Transient Sleep....! And you've got to listen to my Insane Rave song.. its a classic. My later work is probably a bit more of a serious attempt at mainstream music creation with a twist ie Trance/Euro Trance with Electric guitar lead etc. Usually my music has a hidden meaning or an emotion, situation or mood behind its composition. I create music because I enjoy the fact that I have made something unique to the world, which can give pleasure to others (even if it is just for them to laugh at it!). I would love to spend time in a real studio and play with all the knobs and stuff - but have never had the chance. Perhaps one day, a kind soul would let me spend the day in one of their studios! Who knows! Music is fun, and making it (for me) is fun. Enjoy the delights of the "Ally G Project".

NEW ALBUM "TRANSFORMATION" OUT NOW ON iTUNES !!!

..

A bit of blurb about the songs

Moon Walking - A continuation of the electro stylie... Inspired by watching some NASA moon landing documentaries.. Yeah, sad I know, but I gotta get the best out of my Sky HD subscription some how!! Found more knobs and stuff to play about with whilst making this one...

Synthetic Life - Tried to do somthing different with this one. I was high on emotion when I made it - and I think some of it came out in the song... Starts off Tiesto style, then hits mid life crisis, and slowly moves on to High School Musical!! lol!

Dead End Living - Ever got to the stage where work was getting on top of you, where you just did not want to get up and face the days challenges? This one is about asking yourself about the decisions you have made through life and where it has led you. Remember, life is like river - theres no going back... you have to make the best of what you have and be bolder in your future choices! Nuf of the philosophy lesson, so just get on with it! :)

Epicentral Movement - Tried to do something a bit different with this one by having a base melody and applying a key change at various times. Inspired by scenes of earthquake aftermaths. Contains musical references to the emergency services.. Yeah.. my mind is a weird place! lol!

Affairs Of The Heart - Well, another one from the totally original AGP pot. Suggest listening to this one with a decent sub or on some decent Technics 40mm headphones to hear the full sub effects. Ableton users may recognise the start up! Inspired by some Facebook comments of a good friend on distant shores... ;)

Aberafan - The title is based on an area of South Wales where I have a few friends. Made from scratch. Took a few modifications before I was truly happy with it! This will be the last track to go on my "Future Promise" album and it will be Track No1. Hope you enjoy it...

Migraine - This song is about my experience with the mother of all paracetamol-busting migraines which I had the other evening. The song tries to depict my journey from the low thumping dull beginnings of a headache to something so painful that words could describe the true gut wrenching horror. Lying there with a pillow wrapped around my head trying to blot out the world around me, watching the dancing dots and multicoloured patterns wash over me. I quickly learnt how to control them, move them, create them - the way I wanted. This did keep me occupied for a bit! Lulled into a false sense of security, I dared to peer out of my headband cocoon to find that looking at my bedside clock was like looking straight at a flash bulb! After 5 or so hours it all calmed down. This song takes you through my journey - but it might give you a headache! lol!

The JF Experience - This song was inspired by someone who made me laugh so much about her story about her rabbit and some beads that I had to write a song! Yeah it's a bit weird (especially when Daffy Duck kicks in!) but it's just a bit of fun! Quite an upbeat "happy" song for all those suffering in the credit crunch..

Infectious - Well, this song represents a time when I had one eyeball twice as big as the other one I had! Had to keep myself occupied - as I couldn't see a lot... so I wrote a song about looking like the elephant man for a day or two.. (I'm back to normal now.. and so is my eye..he he ha ha..)

Oceans Apart - This song was inspired by one of the later Pirates of The Carribean films - when they were sailing toward some hidden island or something.. It's my first song of 2009 and will hopfully grace my second album to hit the dizzy heights of iTunes! Poss Feb/March time - depending on how many songs I write between then and now. Enjoy!

’’The Sunday Express (five stars) ***** It’s clear from the title track that you are listening to something special with O’Connor’s second solo album… It’s time for KT, Sandi and Amy to make room because this should launch a new Scottish star into the charts. ’’

The Herald (four stars) **** ''O’Connor has one of the best voices heard in Scotland in some time, and a set of fine songs to show it off…''

The List (four stars) **** There is an unmistakable modern twist to her music, and she flits effortlessly between, husky poppiness on the likes of ‘Saturday Man’ to soulful stripped down and spine tingling.

Michael Jackson will always be with us... through his music .. God have called him to Duty in heaven, and Michael have left us to recieve his wings, and take rank in gods Mighty Kindom. Music is a special part of our physical and spritual lives.... it's the very connection that bonds people from one part of the world to the other. We must realize that all of us will be called home one day... and that's how God planned it. We are here a short while and then we return to our true home.. a home that can never be taken, seperated, or broken into. And the creater is right by our side to protect us day and night... Michael you are truely a star, because your brightness shines beyond the heavens..... rest in peace... and we will see you soon.... I hope you enjoy my music because it was for you that i created.  The record companies don't want to give me a deal because i sound like Michael Jackson,,,they feel that i'm an emulator..  My song is totally different from MJ's and i'm Orginal with my music.  What they fail to realize is that you are the judge, not them.  How many record companies executives you think buy CD's? "NONE" they get them free. You are my judge if you feel that my music is good..please help support my cause... also goto www.reverbnation.com/marionpharoahtaite and become my fan there this will help my ratings :D  ....and if you join the streetteam you could win a cool autographed poster with your name on it... thank you for hearing me out...your new friend Marion

What’s Crackin’ A G P ?
We’re hitting back our myspace folks to let you know that your prayers have been answered. What prayers, you may ask. Well, today my friends, the good reptiles over at Bossasaurus (namely the ones writing this message) have teamed up with Murs (Living Legends, Def Jux, 9th Wonder, etc.) to, for the first time ever, offer you a taste of our music with an emcee over them. If you hate emcees and were feeling the tranquility of our un-defiled instrumental works than we sincerely apologize for our critical error in judgment. Otherwise come on over and check out:

We hope you enjoy it. If you don't come thru and talk that sweet smack.

We were flattered by your comments and wanted to invite you back to our page to listen to our new music, download our 16 minute Mega-Mix, and check out our new video. If this message annoys you in anyway we apologize and invite you to write us angry messages. Thanks for reading...we hope you enjoy.
