Alina Amuri was born in Kinshasa (Congo). She grew up and lives in Zurich, Switzerland.
At a very early stage, singing took up an essential part in Alina Amuri's life.
She was a member of the Zurich Opera House choir and today still fondly recalls her participation in "La Bohême", a performance conducted at the time by Placido Domingo. She then took a few years of vocal and singing training with Sandra Olajide (USA) and Ruth Juon (Zurich). Ruth Juon teaches classical singing at the Zurich Conservatory as well as pop and jazz at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Alina followed up by taking gospel classes with music Director Freddy Washington (USA).
In 2004, backed by the group the Scrucialists, Alina Amuri recorded an own album with 4 songs of her making.
2006 saw her perform in various concerts and showcases throughout Switzerland i.e. with Namusoke, at the famous Paléo Festival in Nyon, or as the opener of Kanye West, Saian Supa Crew and others.
Also to be mentioned, her successfull collaboration as backing vocalist and her participation in featurings acts with artists such as King Kora, Phenomden, Scrucialists, King Django (USA), Namusoke.
In 2007, Alina Amuri was one of the 3 winners (category Urban music) at Zurich’s yearly M4Music Festival.
In the music world, Alina Amuri is appreciated for her warm and most melodious soul voice.

Schon früh nahm das Singen einen hohen Stellenwert in Alinas Leben ein. So sang sie im Kinderchor des Zürcher Opernhauses. Besonders schön in Erinnerung bleibt die Aufführung "La Boheme" unter der Leitung von Placido Domingo. Es folgten einige Jahre Stimm- und Gesangsausbildung, unter anderem bei Sandra Olajide (USA) und Ruth Juon (Zürich). Ruth Juon studierte klassischen Gesang am Konservatorium Zürich und Pop und Jazz am Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. Gospel Vocaltraining genoss sie bei Music Director Freddy Washington (USA).
Im Jahre 2004 hat Alina Amuri, mit Unterstützung von den Scrucialists, eine eigene EP mit 4 selbstkomponierten Songs aufgenommen.
2006 folgten diverse Konzerte und "Showcases" in der ganzen Schweiz mit Namusoke, u.a. am Paléo Festival, sowie als "Opener" von Kanye West, Saian Supa Crew, und anderen.
Zu erwähnen sind auch noch die erfolgreiche Zusammenarbeit als Backing Vocalist sowie "Featurings" mit Künstlern wie King Kora, Phenomden, Scrucialists, King Django (USA), Namusoke und weitere.
2007 klassierte sie sich mit ihrer Musik unter den besten 3 in der Kategorie Urban am jährlichen M4music Festival in Zürich.
Alina Amuri wird in der Musikszene für Ihre warme, wohlklingende Soulstimme geschätzt.
