Beaucoup d'artistes démarrent leurs carrières sur la scène, interprètent des reprises et après osent un répertoire de compositions personnelles. Avec Aline de Lima, c'est le monde à l'envers. Grâce à ses premières compositions, elle décroche un contrat avec le label Naïve et elle a tout dans ses mains pour construire sa carrière : des cours de chant, de guitare, des premiers concerts devant des publics avertis, des premières critiques, plutôt encourageantes... Le chemin est rude, crise de disque, des producteurs de spectacles frileux. Mais par sa bonne étoile et son grand charisme, et sans manager, Aline remplit les salles de concerts où elle se produit avec ses compagnons de route, ses musiciens. Le public est ravi et c'est la relation avec ce public qui permettra à cette artiste d'aller au-delà de l'image de "jolie chanteuse sans personnalité" que l'on essaie de prêcher injustement. Héritière de la Bossa Nova et de la MPB de qualité, avec un naturel troublant et fidèle elle-même, Aline s'accroche, s'entoure d'excellents professionnels, apprend le métier et progresse sans cesse. Voici le démarrage de cette aventure, avec un premier complice, Vinicius Cantuaria. Il produit "Arrebol", le 1er album de cette gracieuse auter-compositeur-interprète.
Aline de Lima was born in Caxias-MA, in the North-est of Brazil. She always liked to sing and listen to good music, but did not realize that her fate might be that. She studied industrial design and specialized in graphic arts, going to study design in Stockholm, Sweden in 1998.
In 2001, Aline visited Paris and became enamored with the 'city of light'. In less than fifteen days, settled in Paris and started going through the city's music as the public. Gradually, she has been increasingly involved with music. Through her compositions, which she used to record on a minidisc only with her voice, Aline was encouraged by her musician friends to take voice lessons and singing in bars. She was accompanied by many jazz musicians. In parallel, she had many day jobs such as receptionist, clerk, and even baby-sitter. A route full of obstacles marks the career of this gracious and extremely talented singer-songwriter.

Finally, in 2005, with her repertoire of new songs already arranged and produced almost, Aline was presented to the French label Naïve, with whom she signed on for some CDs. She launched her career in 2006 with her 1st CD, Arrebol (Dawn), produced by none other than Vinicius Cantuaria in New York. In 2008, she worked with a renowned Japanese trumpeter, Jun Miyake, co-producing Açai in Paris. Thanks to these two CDs, Aline de Lima finally has access to international tours, CD promotion in several countries and acquired a reputation as an artist of high quality.
Still, Aline does not abandon her artistic ideals. She knows that the stage is the great ally of the artist, his most important "laboratory". She found that she's great potential in her voice and has developed her mark on stage as an artist who deals wisely with his own shyness, accepting herself and imposing the challenges ahead. Her references are Elis Regina, Tom Jobim, Joao Gilberto, João Bosco, Marisa Monte, Nana Caymmi, Maria Bethania and Gilberto Gil.
