Growing up military taught him how to interact with different types of people and appreciate different types of music." When I came back to America, there was no way that I would have exploded on to the mainstream music seen, with the type of material I was composing". It wasn't until he went to his 1st rave in the mid 90's that he could actually put his lyrics to a genre of music that was pretty much underground and rarely heard on the airwaves. "I have a great deal of respect for Dj's. There's a lot of talent in that realm of music that has gone un-noticed for years. It's much more than just putting a CD in a machine or playing a series of different records on turntables. It's a true art form". Since Dance Music has began to reach a broader range of people, Crisstoffer has decided embark on a whole new aLion X-Perience, as he puts it, in the dance music scene. "This album is very, not so much political, but does carry the ingredients of a wake up call for society. I didn't want to make music, just to make music. Everybody has falling in & out of love, been cheated on, Have cheated on somebody, or have had days where you just wanna ball up and die. We've all been there. I'm sure there's no need for me as an artist, to have people pay money to listen to how tragic my life is. (LOL!) . I've never written anything or wanted to write songs like that. I'm much more interested in finding a solution to those issues, instead of telling about myself in a song. I like writing about the person next to me. Putting myself in their shoes....telling the story from first person, without expressing my feelings or point of view. I write about the fires of temptations in life by being the flame. I guess it's the Texas Country boy in me." Although there is no theme of country on his debut album 138bpms, set for release in 2006, Crisstoffer proves that he can tell a tale with the best of them!
