Beamed from the furthest nebula in deep space to the rural settlements of Surrey, Aliquo is a collaboration of two musically-minded sound architects/instrumentalists. Their passion for electronic music and sound design brought them to begin recording together and unifying ideas of that have been occupying limbo under their own composer monikers Pennibug and Rowley. Drawing from influences spanning almost every genre, their work can be described as rhythm-based soundscapes with exquisitely layered electronic textures that borders on the Ambient with a tinge of Electroacoustic techniques. Their upbringing of electro-galactic-folk synthesizer musicians such as Boards of Canada, Animal Collective and Radiohead, also brings a certain ‘Pop’ panache to their methods of composition. Currently experimenting with diverse styles and ideas to find their soul-defining sound, Aliquo plan to release their first LP by the end of 2009.
