Ali hails from the north west of England where he began djing 14 years ago playing detroit techno and chicago house to a scouse crowd monthly at the legendary 'le bateau' club in Liverpool. Soon after this he began experimenting with making machine music which resulted in the upstart of Human Shield records together with cohorts Peter Mangalore and Tommy Walker 3.
He is one half of synth-pop sensations Heartbreak who released their debut album 'Lies' last year. He now co-runs labels Human Shield and Cyber Dance and is involved with Magic Waves Radio, Cyber Dance's broadcasting project which is now hosted on Dutch Internet radio station Intergalactic FM. Releasing solo records since 2003, including four very fine 12"s for London's now defunct Dissident label, his live set is a combination of tracks from previous releases on labels Dissident, Cyber Dance and Moustache records and his dj sets vary from Italo disco, techno and electro depending on the nights theme. A talented producer and dj openly in thrall of the 80's heyday of synth-pop and italo disco 2010 will be a defining year for ali seeing more releases and collaborations including his debut album.
