Soul star! Born and bread in Gospel and Funk music. Since an early age she has sang in church as well as local venues like Wisconsin State University, True Praise and One Consecration. By her teen and young adulthood, she was a seasoned worship leader and experienced in worship music as well as other musical styles. At age 12 she became head director over her church choir. With her skills she dove into different musical ideas. Alisha’s training from Milwaukee High School of Arts led the way for an outlet in Opera and Jazz music. While attending she won two first place medals in MPS All-City competition, second place in NAACP Act-So competition and two second place winnings in choral festivals. Performing for such great musicians like Phil Mattson and Chanticleer. Alisha studied with Milw. Symphony Chorus Orchestra for one year before attending University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
While there, she toured annually with the Vocal Jazz and Concert choirs. One of her greatest accomplishments was performing with Russia’s Kiev Orchestra. With her experience and education she conducted a music and art workshop for UW-Platteville’s leadership camp. Working for Truth Leadership Academy (MPS Charter School) teaching music appreciation and choir. Training local choirs, focusing on new choral worship programs and choir concepts. She works with Lakeland Baptist Association youth camps. To this day she is still giving to the community by working with Mt. Pilgrim youth for twelve years and New Paradise angel choir while singing with Cotton Gin Productions.
All of these experiences have fueled a new passion and direction in her life and career. A direction and dedication in spiritual leadership and fierce worship. Amercing a dying generation in God though music. A real mirror into a 2008 christian walk, a voice for an new generation of worshippers. A new era of Christian music.
She is striving to be a pilar of Christ and one of the most inspirational Christian Artist Ever!
Next month I will be putting out "Do Over" The goal of this project is to hit who ever wanted to give a better second impression, or try again. This is for them to get the gospel! The reunion is WELL under way and we have been enjoyin fellowshipping together and tonight will be our first night back in rehearsal!
