Alisha Pillay is an 18-year-old singer/songwriter from Vancouver, BC. At the early age of seven, Alisha began taking dance, piano and voice lessons. Music quickly became her passion and, with great determination to improve and expand her abilities, she began writing her own songs by age ten.
Some of Alisha's achievements to date include winning David Foster's Opportunity of a Lifetime Contest, the Shaw Star Discovery contest, and most recently, a scholarship to acclaimed Berklee College of Music. Alisha has also been fortunate to share the stage with Josh Groban, Renee Olstead and Sarah McLachlan.
Alisha is an exceptionally versatile writer, dabbling in R&B, Pop and Hip Hop. Alisha has been working on a number of songwriting collaborations with various writers and producers, including Hip Joint (Kelly Rowland "Unity), Alisha "M'Jestie" Brooks (Rihanna "Pon de Replay") and the Underdogs (Chris Brown, Jordan Sparks, Jennifer Hudson, Nick Lachey, Whitney Houston among many others). Alisha is currently working on her album and hopes to have it out in mid-late 2009. Alisha has been selected to be the featured up and coming artist in January on Le Chateau's website (http://lechateau.com/en/soundstage)

If you go to my MySpace page, you may notice that the first song on my playlist is by REIN. The first widget posted is also by REIN. The first Gydget is by REIN. And an amazing coincidence is that REIN was & is #1 on my 40 top friends, even though the LORD brought us together only a few weeks ago.
Take some time to listen to her songs or read some of her blogs & then when you go into your prayer closet, ask our Heavenly Father to fill REIN with the Holy Spirit which will allow every word she sings, speaks, & writes to be full of joy, love, & peace.

REIN is an amazing & anointed woman & I just want you to remember her as she was in Atlanta, Georgia from January 10th to January 12th. She won an online contest to have a personal audition with the judges of “BET’s Sunday Best.”
Even though she did not make it through, REIN has blessed me immensely through her singing & some incredibly deep things that she has written.
