About me:
Environmental Science student at Plymouth uni...like drinking good ale, dancing about to Irish music with the faeries (if enough ale/guinness has been drunkered you can see them), being by the sea...oh yeah and trying to change the world a bit in the process :)

We live in a world where profit comes before people, and where more money is pumped into wars than into welfare. Neo-liberalism has created a system where big oil and coal corporations virtually run the U.S government alongside the neo-cons, guiding an imperialist foreign policy which is attempting to gain control over scarce resources and dominate the middle east, whilst fuelling climate change and fucking up the environment.

Not only are millions dying from war in Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan, millions more are dying in wars in Africa funded and supplied by the Western governments to maintain instability and access to resources. Cures for diseases are held back from the world's poorest nations to protect the copyrights of multinational pharmaceutical companies. And by doing nothing about climate change the big companies and Western governments are effectively condemning millions more of the world's poor to suffering and death, including in the U.S where Bush left thousands of those who could not afford to evacuate stranded in the ruins of New Orleans.

But the neo-liberal governments have a powerful enemy. The other super power of the world. The mass of ordinary people. We are many and they are few. They might control the wealth, but we produce it. The bosses need the workers, but we don't need them. And in the words of Tony Cliff: 'if we all spit together, we can drown the bastards!'

Who I'd like to meet:
A Fair Sidhe!
