Music
Oh goodness.... EVERYTHING! And then... everything. It's hard to find something I don't like. Ok... I don't like Dave Matthews' voice, and goodness knows I can't stand Kid Rock. Janis Joplin ain't my fave either. And I'm not crazy about the jazz saxophone that goes nowhere. But that's about it. I love everything from rap to opera. New age to country. Classical to pop. Techno to folk. World to jazz. Gospel to metal. Hard rock to soft. Alternative to acapella. Punk to rapcore. Piano to percussion. Soundtracks to lullabies. Showtunes to bluegrass. Hardcore to baroque. Celtic to chant. Anything that can call itself music is worth listening to. Music is life. Everyone has a soundtrack. "If music be the food of love, play on!" ~Shakespeare

Again.... tons. But my favorite of all time is Phantom of the Opera. Second comes V for Vendetta. Then 300. Then in no particular order, The Little Mermaid, all the Harry Potter movies, Beauty and the Beast, Gone with the Wind, All the Monty Python movies (except for Meaning of Life), Superman, Timeline, Dracula, Dracula 2000, Interview with the Vampire, Queen of the Damned, Never Been Kissed, Titanic, Breakfast at Tiffany's, My Fair Lady, Oklahoma, Carousel, South Pacific, An American in Paris, Legally Blonde, Attila, The 10 Commandments, Ben Hur, All of Mel Brooks' movies, Pirates of the Caribbean 1 and 2, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, Ice Age, Romeo and Juliet, Corpse Bride, Aquamarine, The Lion King, Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, Snow White, Cinderella, White Oleander, Pulse, The Ring, Zoolander, Night at the Roxbury, 007, Labyrinth, The Princess Bride, Alice in Wonderland, King Arthur, Troy, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, How the West was Won, The Wizard of Oz, Munich, The Sound of Music, Girl Interrupted, Sybil, Dirty Dancing, The Miracle Worker, Star Wars, Dumbo, Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, Vanity Fair, and so many more... Also, I'm pretty sure that with Gerard Butler as Beowulf, "Beowulf and Grendel" will be pretty frickin awesome. Also, this Friday, "The Covenant" comes out. I'm a little excited about that one. Did I mention that I love horror movies?

I always have to have a book with me. If I don't, I feel naked. Seriously. I will literally read anything I can get my hands on. If nothing else, I'll read a brochure or medicine label. But preferably I choose literature. Especially anything written before 1950. The older it is, the more excited I get. Put a historical genealogy in front of me, and I may just love you forever. About me: OK.....JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS, IF I DON'T KNOW YOU, DON'T SEND ME A PRIVATE MESSAGE SAYING "Hey," "What's up?" or anything of the like. I WILL NOT ANSWER YOU! IF YOU WANT TO GET MY ATTENTION, ADD ME AS A FRIEND, OR AT LEAST MESSAGE ME SOMETHING UNIQUE. AGAIN, I REPEAT. I WILL NOT ANSWER CLICHE MESSAGES, UNLESS I ALREADY KNOW YOU. AND ALSO, PLEASE USE CORRECT GRAMMAR... "wats up hotty" "ur fine" "hey wats up mssge me bk sumtime" are not spelled correctly, and they are definitely fragments or run-ons. Come on kids, didn't we learn this in 2nd grade? That's a pet peeve. If it's obviously an accident, I understand... I'm a sucky typer as well, but if you have the IQ of an asparagus... no I take that back, asparagus is a pretty smart veggie.... or carrot, then please refrain from filling my inbox. I'm more than willing to meet new people, but be a little more classy about it... I'm a nice person, I swear... I just hate stupidity. Sorry... Now on to Puppies and Rainbows! Yay!
Ok. So about me.... Music is my passion and my life. Any kind, anytime, anywhere. I sing, play the piano (a little), a little violin, and a very little guitar. As far as what I sing, it's mainly showtunes and classical opera type pieces, but since I'm a contralto, modern stuff works well. Country is my heritage, but so is Celtic. I love singing folk songs, and I've been reading music almost as long as I've been reading. My mom is my best friend, and she was basically a professional singer. She taught music, and has directed numerous choirs, including a very respected group for 30 years called the "One Way Singers" back a few years in our hometown. Our house is filled with sheet music, and Phantom of the Opera was almost the first music I ever heard. So any songs that my mom sings, I love. She has a degree in Choral Music, and she's the sweetest person you will ever meet. My dad can't carry a tune... Lol. But we love him anyway. When I was little, I was a complete Daddy's Girl. Phantom of the Opera is my obsession, and when I say obsession, I mean OBSESSION. I love anything Phantom, and trust me, if there's something to own or know, I probably do. I also love Monty Python. One of the happiest moments of my life was meeting John Cleese (the tall one). Acting is also a passion, and I am a part of an agency/school, and I'm always trying to make it in the entertainment industry. However, I'm a 19 year old History major from Milligan College in East Tennessee. I'm originally from Corn Field Podunk, Indiana. AKA Lizton, Indiana. Population 300 farm town in central Indiana. However, we live in the middle of a corn/soybean field, and we don't even have any security lights. Lol... My family is what you would call "Classy Hicks." We're definitely country people, but we also can quote Shakespeare or sing opera with the best of them. My two babies, Snickers and Zero are the loves of my life. (dogs...) I love Faeries and Mermaids. Basically anything that defies logic, I love. I'm very similar to the little mermaid, Ariel, in looks and personality. I read ALL the time. I always have reading or writing material with me. My imagination is overactive, and you would be lost if you ever tried to understand me. My mom comes the closest, and even she gives up after a while. I love the rain, and I especially love storms. I want to be an archaeologist, and eventually will have my doctorate in history. I would love to do archaeological work in Iceland or Greenland. As well as newfoundland. I love the vikings. I look like one too... I also love British Monarchial History. However, I would LOVE to work on a cruise ship as a part of the activity staff or entertainers. Also, I'm a true nerd. I read "A Tale of Two Cities" in 4th grade. I want to write a musical based on "Great Expectations." I am a faithful Christian and I love God with all my heart. I'm waiting until marriage before I have sex, and I'm proud of it. Yes, I am 20 and still a virgin. Darn tootin! Lol...
Back in high school I was involved with a bunch of crap including Cheerleading, Student Council, Swimming, Choir, Spell Bowl, Superbowl, and Sweethearts. But I left early to go to college. I'm involved in Drama, Concert Choir, French Club, Film Club, Grandview Church Choir, and I'm the leader of NAMI. (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) I'm a huge advocate against mental illness Stigma, and also against light pollution. I sponsor 3 children through Compassion International, (compassion.org) and you should too! We can eliminate poverty one child at a time. I also recycle! Yay! My best friend besides my mom is Tina, and I love her to death. Her fiance, Zach is practically my brother. We're like a tricycle! And I'm the front wheel while they're behind me making out. I'm single, because I'm probably too complicated for any boy to handle right now. But if you think you might be up to it, don't be afraid to try. I want lots of kids, and I'll hopefully start having them in grad school. I love to travel, and going on the oceanliner the QE2 is one of my favorite things EVER. I've been lucky a enough to go a ton of places so far, but I still want to travel a lot more. I'm going to be an aunt soon! And I can't wait. Edvard Grieg is my favorite composer. Gerard Butler is going to have my babies... I mean the other way around. He just doesn't know it yet. I'm a 5'5" curly redhead with blue eyes, and porcelain (not pale) skin. Lol... I'm not fat, but I definitely have curves. And I'm proud of them! I sell Mary Kay, and I rock at waitressing and being a librarian. But I tend to hide and just read all the books... So maybe I suck at it. Oh well! I love Historical Fiction, and dirty romance novels. And I obviously tak about myself plenty, so I'll stop. Love y'all!

Omygosh, you've seen half Europe, definitely more countries than me ! Did you travel mainly with your family or do you prefer voyages with friends ? Well, I wish I could say the same concerning Germany, but I have not visited each federal state, I've seen the majority of the western provinces, but only Brandenburg and Berlin in the East. Wow, you've really been to every U.S. state except of Hawaii ? Jesus, 50 states, that's a lot ! I have the impression that you travel the whole time :D Well, faceboo is aso known in Germany, but it is neither popular nor famous, I think I wouldn't know one person there ^^. After I will have finished (is that the right tense ÔÔ) my Abitur (-> diploma from German secondary school qualifying for university admission or matriculation)next year, I'm going to St. Petersburg ,and I don't mean the one in Florida ;),for one week, I'm soooo looking forward to this, you cannot imagine because Russia is the country which fascinates me most and St. Petersburg is my city of dreams, a total art work as far as I can see ! And after this voyage which I received to my 18 birthday, I want to travel and work one year in the USA, I'd like to travel from the East Coste through the West Cost ! The states wich interest me most are New York (of course, everybody want to see Manhattan xD), Idaho and Montana, the last ones since I fell in love with their stunning landscapes when I saw a documentation on TV about them !
Hey Tudor ^^, What ?! Warnemünde was the only town you visited in Germany ? I'm shocked, because that is such a boring and unimportant hicksville, why did you not visit Hamburg, that is the nearest large city . Oh, I do not want to look myself like a fool, but what is a facebook, I don't know this word. Of course I could descend from someone famous, the Bavarian Dukes, Electors and Kings had like all the other monarchs affairs and consequently illegitimate offspring, who knows, perhaps I'm such a ilegitimate descendant from the House of Wittelsbach ^^. Wow, that would be great xD. Well, you've only named the countries from this voyage, tell me, where have you also been ?
it could be possible that he has lied ^^. There are also rumours that we descend from robber-knights, but like my great-grandfather's story: No real evidence ! No, "Caspian" is not broadcast in Germany, but I know it will. So have a nice time in Europe, I hope you'll tell me everything you've seen on our beautiful and interesting continent ^^ It is a pity that you won't visit Heidelberg, because you could have visited me there ^^
Hey Alison, now it is one me to apologise for my belated answer, but I moved to a neighbor village, we're living directly in front of the fields (which really pisses me on, I prefer living in a metropolis !) and that is the reason why I'm having neither computer connection nor telephone extension in the moment, we still wait for that ! Isn't that horrible ? It's like I would live somewhere in the boonies xD. You won't believe, but today, they broadcast the first episode of the Tudors on German TV, I'm really looking forward to that ^^ Is it good ? Oh, I really envy your for your voyage, I think you've seen more from Europe than me xD, I traveld to: Britain, Italy (where I've got relatives), Switzerland, Sweden(where I've got relatives too), Mexico, the Netherlands, Alsace (in my view, it belonges neither to France nor to Germany, of course it is a French Département, but the people there are very very independant and proud of their province), Austria,Czech Republic, Turkey, Thailand, Morocco, United Arab Emirates (I was in Dubai)and, last but not least, USA (Florida when I was six). Oh, a descendant from Oliver Cromwell, sounds interesting ^^, So consequently, did your ancestors belong to the first puritans who came to New England ? Well, unfortunately, I've got no ancestors who are famous, but there is a funny anecdote: My great-grandfather ,who lived approximately 1901-1960, worked when he was young for some months as a coachman of a Bavarian princess (my family is from Bavaria, but my mother and me live in the near of Heidelberg)and one day, he was drunken while driving and the carriage tumbled down, the princess tumbled out xD. You can imagine, that was a real scandal ! My great-grandfather was naturally fired ! So that's the only spectacular anecdote concerning my ancestors, but actually there are no proofs if this really happened, he merely told that to his children and my grand. mother told it to me, but it
You're right, darkness is definitely better than sun ! I hate sun, unfortuntaley, the weather here in Germany is in the moment very very hot, I could barf xD. Formerly, we had so beautiful winters here, but since the climate change, we have no snow, just in some regions in Bavaria, which really pisses me on ! How is the clima momentary in Tennesse ? Well, I have to confess that I was never really fascinated by Eleonore of Aquitaine and Elizabeth I. even though they were definitely very remarkable and strong queens, in my opinion they belong to the most important queens England ever had, especially Elizabeth I. who is in my view the most famous and considerable monarch who ruled England, more meaningful that any of her male colleagues ! Nevertheless, I prefer her mother and half-sister, those are my favorite queens of England besides the unruly queen Caroline of Brunswick, qwueen consort of George IV. Oh, I know you like Catherine Howard, like me. Have a look on this beautiful "movie": http://de. youtube. com/watch?v=TWezcoFZ1a0&feature=related
OMG, Alison, you're so great, you've got a fantastic taste! Winter is the most beautiful season, I love it when everything die off, when the snow rules with an iron fist... I also love rain and darkness, vive Hekate !! Ok, now I'm going to become a bit to poetic xD. Oh, I really liked seeing Tilda Swinton playing Jadis in the movie, she's a very talented actress and perfect as the White Witch. Did you read the books ? They're very amusing, but no great literature. Oh, your women taste is fantastic, I ADORE Anne Boleyn, she's my second favorite queen of England after Bloody Mary. There are so many women I admire and love, I've made an photo album about tragic queens and princesses, have a look on it and leave a nice comment ^^, then you know which women I really love. BTW: My absolute favorite woman is definitely Marie Antoinette !
Hey Alison, I read all seven books of Narnia, I like them, they often remember me on fairy tales ^^. I also watched the movie with the adorable Tilda Swinton, that was the reason why I gave me the name, but also the fact that Jadis, who is called The White Witch), is a snow witch fascintes me, because winter is my absolute favorite season, I love snow, the cold and ice and I HATE summer and sun ! Besides, I hate my real name Kero ! Now you surely think I'm crazy xD Did you watch the movie ? I heard that the seven books were filmed by BBC, but unfortunately I didn't see them ÔÔ BTW: Who is your favorite woman from history ?
Weird ? Are you crazy ?! It is absolutely beautiful and fascinating, I love crude and flashy eye colour, I want to buy coloured contact lens ^^ I really envy you ^^ And thanks for the nice comment, I blushed when I read the line with "sweet" <3 No, Jadis is a figure from the fantasy novel "The Chronicles of Narnia" (I'm not shure wether it is the correct English title), my real name is Kero.
Oh thanks for your accolade, I'm honoured ^^. I'm totally fascinated by women since I'm a child because: 1. They are more intelligent 2. They are more beautiful 3. They are more charged with emotions So consequently I absolutely agree with you that it is more interesting to read books about historical women, especially in politics because behind the majority of great kings, there stood a woman who had a great influence on him and who was a kind of "wirepuller", e.g Alexander the Great and his bitchy, but nonetheless remarkable mother Olympias. I read also biographies about men and there are also a few who I admire like Friedrich the Great, but nevertheless -> women rule xD !! I've got an album on my profil about twelf tragic queen and princesses, if you want, you can leave a comment ^^ Oh, where have you been to Germany? I've also visited the USA, but I have to confess that I was only six years old, we went to Florida ^^
Salut Alison, I ADORE history too, besides literature and arts, I live only for them xD. I'm also a history major in school, I'm the best in my age-group, furthermore, I'm the only one who has 15 points (that's the highest number of points in Germany)and I'm definitely going to study it besides art history and German language and literature studies. Like you probably have already read in my "About me", I've got a great passion for women, especially queens, princesses and suffragattes. Im not shure, but I think I've found you in the friendlist of Isabella of France, you know, the so called She-Wolf ^^. You seem very interesting as well, that's the reason why I've added you ^^ Excuse me if my English is not so good ^^
Hey Alison, thanks for being a myspacefriend <3 I see you adore history too, and the historical women in your list are all very intersting. Good taste ^^
