Just over a year after the release of their debut album (Find Your Light), A Little Affair have finished their second self-recorded/produced/released effort, Just a Date in a Month. With an 8 track total clocking in at just under 24 minutes, this is an extensive and ambitious EP comprised of 9-to-5 contempt, love-loss confession, and the humbling experience of death interpreted by front man Ben Hughes. Tom Cochran and Ryan Buzby fill out the sweet bass and salty rhythm section to support the vibrant vocals for the Indie Pop/Rock trio. With their sound settling somewhere amongst the flowing melodies of Saves the Day, the musical maturity of Death Cab For Cutie, and the refinement of classic Weezer, A Little Affair is “ballsy” and “undeniably smart”.
