Rick Hayward (guitar) and Heather Enid Wells (fretless single-bass).
Both sing, after a fashion...

As the session guitarist for Blue Horizon Records in the 1960s/70s, Rick worked and recorded with many other great musicians, including Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Rod Argent, American bluesmen Lightnin' Slim and Freddie King (who recorded some of Rick's songs), Christine Perfect-McVie (who had a band on the road with Rick), The Zombies and many more.-----
Heather was originally taught guitar and banjo by master clawpicker Derek Brimstone, and has had a mixed history since, from touring Germany playing bass with the Tommy Trinder Show to working with Cathy Dennis in Cathy's parents' band, from playing solo three years running on the Club Stage at Cambridge Folk Festival to a current packed date-sheet with her harmony softcore rockband Bright Spark.-----
As guitarists we've both been mad on Davy Graham, John Renbourn, Bert Jansch, etc ever since we first heard them, and long before we met. As for Tommy Emmanuel oooo! For composition and songwriting, both love Bach, The Beatles, Bacharach, Brad Paisley, Cole Porter, Greg McDonald and Jobim. There are also some very inspiring local musicians, Norwich is a very hot place for music right now. Our other main influences are each other, and everyone we've ever worked with. We both play gigs and sessions with lots of other people.
Neye Benziyor?
Poor person's Pentangle. It's semi-acoustic jazzy rock'n'roll...
No - its bluesy folk-rock... with a Latin-Irish lilt
Both with folk roots overlaid with classical training, both with many years rock-band experience but without having lost a passion for jazz and blues, we are A Little Uneasy...
We met at the famous Music House in Norwich in January 2000 and gradually drifted together as a duo rather than consciously 'forming' one! We played quite a lot of gigs together up to the end of 2006. However, apart from the odd charity appearance, such as our regular Christmas Day set at the Norwich Open Christmas in St Andrew’s Hall, Norwich, A Little Uneasy are now more-or-less inactive. Both of us have many other more pressing commitments and there isn't the time to rehearse that would be required to maintain a standard we find acceptable.
However, there is good news for Rick's fans. His original solo LP from the Blue Horizon days, recorded with Mike Vernon in 1971, is now being re-released on CD by Sunbeam Records. Better still, all the tracks from his second album, which was recorded soon after but has never previously been released, are included on the same CD. Rick has been making a few select solo appearances recently but has no intention of any serious promotional gigging. He plays for pleasure these days, in a laid-back and unobtrusive way, enjoying a reclusive life in the middle of nowhere out in the Norfolk countryside.
Heather is busy playing with a variety of bands, including Bright Spark and various others, as can be seen on her solo page.

Hi Heather the uneasy bass and rick (who hates computers but who can blame him?) Thanks for accepting our friendship. I've just listened to the songs on your site and find them utterly brilliant. Shame you guys aren't gigging. Love and respect. Steve F. www.thestevefrenchband.com
Ha! yeah, we like to think of all the lengthy jamming as adventurous, but you could probably make a good case for it being a bit self indulgence!... At any rate, thank you for the add and the listen! ken
My New Book: Butterfly Tai Chi: Health, Energy and Tranquility in 10 Minutes a Day
Description
The author was inspired by observing butterflies to develop a system of Tai Chi that could be performed in a limited space and within a relatively short time. He designed Tai Chi movements that naturally enhance the Qi flow in the order directed by Chinese medicine and whilst it can be used to treat a wide variety of illnesses, its real power is in preventing illness. Succinct and effective the reader can learn this form of Tai Chi within a day and can be performed anywhere -no matter how little space available.
