"I have seen over fifteen thousand performers and Aliza Hava is in the top one percent." Brian Austin Whitney, Just Plain Folks
"So freakin' astonishing in every way...this chick is a powerhouse. She's what you'd call a sister, like Ani DiFranco or Julia Butterfly Hill." The Chronogram
"Spiritual, socially conscious folk and femme rock...RISE is a ferocious album with mainstream potential...along the lines of early Alanis Morissette." The Jerusalem Post
Aliza Hava is not your typical singer/songwriter. This fiery songstress is firmly dedicated to using the power of music to inspire personal and global transformation. A breathtaking performer, her introspective, well-crafted lyrics explore the deepest levels of love, life, spirituality, and the importance of positive social change.
With an interest in the relationship between holistic health and music, Hava studied Music Therapy at The State University of New York at New Paltz. Through her studies and personal spiritual practice, she developed an understanding of music as a gateway to healing on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels simultaneously.
While cultivating her skills as a singer/songwriter and producer, she created several demos before the release of her 2006 debut, RISE. An independently produced disc recorded live and mixed at Leopard Studios in Accord, NY, RISE is an artistic statement of conscience calling for an end to war and a growing awareness of our environmental responsibility.
Hava has been a featured artist at the The United Nations, and represents the international NGO Pathways to Peace, a non-profit that promotes international peacebuilding through The Culture of Peace Initiative and
The International Day of Peace, September 21st of each year. She has performed at social justice events throughout the U.S. and the Middle East, where the song RISE has been called an anthem for Israeli/Palestinian coexistence.
Hava has shared the stage with Matisyahu, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Richie Havens, Derek Trucks, Jen Durkin, Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band), and Deep Banana Blackout. She has performed at NYC’s Madison Square Garden, The Apollo Theater, The Rainbow Room, and venues throughout the U.S. and abroad.
The Aliza Hava Band is available for national and international performances. For bookings and professional inquiries, please contact FireMusicFaerie Productions at firemusicfaerie.list@gmail.com.
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead; I lift my lids and all is born again. (I think I made you up inside my head.)
The stars go waltzing out in blue and red, And arbitrary blackness gallops in: I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
I dreamed that you bewitched me into bed And sung me moon-struck, kissed me quite insane. (I think I made you up inside my head.)
God topples from the sky, hell's fires fade: Exit seraphim and Satan's men: I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
I fancied you'd return the way you said, But I grow old and I forget your name. (I think I made you up inside my head.)
I should have loved a thunderbird instead; At least when spring comes they roar back again. I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead. (I think I made you up inside my head. )
Me sumergí con el amor a tal profundidad que me perdí de vista. Olvidé que a tantos les consuela ver el amor chapoteando en aguas someras, y reniegan cuando éste se zambulle a ahogar las apariencias.
If a kiss was a raindrop... I'd send you showers. ♥If hugs were a second... I'd send you hours. ♥If smiles were water... I'd send you the sea. ♥ If friendship was a person... I'd send you me. ♥ This poem shows lots of appreciation... So send this to all of your friends and let them know you care.
♥FRIENDS ARE LIKE BALLOONS ONCE U LET THEM GO YOU CAN'T GET THEM BACK SO I'M GOING TO TIE YOU TO MY HEART SO I NEVER LOSE YOU SO SEND THIS TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS INCLUDING ME!♥ SEE HOW MANY YOU GET BACK
