Hello everyone! I'm Greg, and I'm all about God. This MySpace page is dedicated to those who are searching for the answers to some of life's most important and difficult questions. Questions such as "Does God exist?"; "Is it possible to KNOW God?"; "Is there more to life than THIS!?!?"; "What happens to me after I die?"; "Can God make me be a better person?"; "Don't all religions lead to God?"

Regardless of your beliefs, if you're human, these questions have probably crossed your mind more than once in your life. Whether they have or not, I would like to invite you, and yes, even challenge you, to seek out and explore the answers to these questions and more by exploring the "All About" links on the left side of this page below the really cool picture.

There is also a top selling book out that has the answers to these questions and more. In fact, it's the best selling book of all time! You might even have a copy lying around somewhere. It's called The Bible. The Bible is God's message to us and explains how, through God's own son, Jesus Christ, we can have the kind of abundant life that God desires for us. Once you encounter Jesus, you will never be the same.

If you have a Bible, I encourage you to pick it up and read it. Start with the book of John in the New Testament. If you do not have a Bible, you can read it online HERE.

SING AND GLORIFY GOD, MAKE HIS PRAISE GLORIOUS. Psalm 66:1-4

It is not left to our own option whether we shall praise God or not.
Praise is God's most righteous due, and every Christian, as the
recipient of His grace, is bound to praise God from day to day. It is
true we have no authoritative rubric for daily praise; we have no
commandment prescribing certain hours of song and thanksgiving: but the
law written upon the heart teaches us that it is right to praise God;
and the unwritten mandate comes to us with as much force as if it had
been recorded on the tables of stone, or handed to us from the top of
thundering Sinai. Yes, it is the Christian's duty to praise God. It is
not only a pleasurable exercise, but it is the absolute obligation of
his life.

Think not you who are mourning, that you are guiltless in this respect,
or imagine that you can discharge your duty to your God without songs
of praise. You are bound by the bonds of His love to bless His name so
long as you live, and His praise should continually be in your month,
for you are blessed, in order that you may bless Him; "this people have
I formed for myself, they shall show forth my praise"; and if you do
not praise God, you are not bringing forth the fruit which He, as the
Divine Husbandman, has a right to expect at your hands. Let not your
harp then hang upon the willows, but take it down, and strive, with a
grateful heart, to bring forth its loudest music. Arise and chant His
praise. With every morning's dawn, lift up your notes of thanksgiving,
and let every setting sun be followed with your song. Girdle the earth
with your praises; surround it with an atmosphere of melody, and God
Himself will hearken from heaven and accept your music. Praise God.

THE LOVE OF CHRIST CONSTRAINED US. 2 Corinthians 5:14

How much do you owed my Lord? Has He ever done anything for you? Has He forgiven your sins? Has He covered you with a robe of righteousness? Has He set your feet upon a rock? Has He established your going? Has He prepared heaven for you? Has He prepared you for heaven? Has He written your name in the His book of life? Has He given you countless blessings? Has He laid up for you a store of mercies, which eye hath not seen nor ear heard? Then do something for Jesus worthy of His love. Give not a mere wordy offering to a dying Redeemer. How will you feel when your Master comes, if you have to confess that you did nothing for Him, bu t kept your love shut up, like a stagnant pool, neither flowing forth to His poor or to His work. Out on such love as that! What do men think of a love which never shows itself in action? Why, they say, "Open rebuke is better than secret love." Who will accept a love so weak that it does not actuate you to a single deed of self-denial, of generosity, of heroism, or zeal!

Think how He has loved you, and given Himself for you! Do you know the power of that love? Then let it be like a rushing mighty wind to your soul to sweep out clouds of your worldliness, and clear away the mists of sin. "For Christ's sake" be this the tongue of fire that shall sit upon you: "for Christ's sake" be this the divine rapture, the heavenly afflatus to bear you aloft from earth, the divine spirit that shall make you bold as lions and swift as eagles in your Lord's service. Love should give wings to the feet of service, and strength to the arms of labor. Fixed on God with a constancy that is not to be shaken, resolute to honor Him with a determination that is not to be turned aside, and pressing on with an ardor never to be wearied, let us manifest the constrains of love to Jesus. May the divine load stone draw us heavenward towards itself.

Lord Jesus...this morning I come...just as I am...and know that You are waiting for me...I am your child and you watch for the first flicker of eyelash, the awakening to come and look forward to speaking Your words of love to me. I feel Your loving eyes on me...and sense that You have great compassion towards me as You watch...I can feel Your eyes upon me...I open my eyes and see Yours...The intensity of Your love blows me away...actually it draws me to Your face, Your loving compassion and grace...And I respond to You and say..."I love YOU Lord...Your lovingkindness draws me to YOU...I want YOUR heart today...I will not resist the drawing of Your heart...come in LOrd Jesus."

You see it all...the tears of sorrow...the feelings of failure...the relationships strained...and you care. You don't give me a list of things to do...You know that I am depleted Lord...You know I need a lifechanging exchange...Your life for my life...Your blood cleansing mine...Your heart washing over mine with such love that I catch my breath in awe...and my sorrow and sighing flee away. I am washed in YOur blood...clean and forgiven...You accept me just as I am...and only invite me with Your loving heart to come...YOu don't expect anything...You have everything prepared. The meal...The water...I quench my thirst this morning...and remember that YOu have the living water...the one that gives me LIFE...and wells up within me and overflows. You are so generous my God...The Bread of LIFE is broken for me today...and I get to partake...savor...and live because Your heart was broken to heal mine. And so I feast on Your love this morning Lord, and I breathe in the cool morning life-giving air. I realize that moment by moment I receive breath as a gift from You. My life hangs in Your hands, in Your gentle, loving hands. And Your everlasting arms are underneath me holding me up so I can relax...I can let all the burdens fall from my heart...my tears can spill on Your chest because Your heart

I PRAYED FATHER, YOU SHOULDN'T TAKE THE BELIEVERS OUT OF THE WORLD. John 17:15

It is a sweet and blessed event which will occur to all believers in God's own time; the going home to be with Jesus Christ. In a few more years the Lord's soldiers, who are now fighting the good fight of faith will have done with conflict, and have entered into the joy of their Lord? But although Christ prays that His people may eventually be with Him where He is, He does not ask that they may be taken at once away from this world to heaven. He wishes them to stay here. Yet how frequently does the wearied pilgrim put up the prayer, O that I had wings like a dove! For then would I fly away and be at rest; but Christ does not pray like that, He leaves us in His Father's hands, until, like shocks of corn fully ripe, we shall each be gathered into our Master's garner. Jesus does not plead for our instant removal by death, for to abide in the flesh is needful for others if not profitable for us. He asks that we may be kept from evil, but He never asks for us to be admitted to the inheritance in glory till we are of full age.

Christians often want to die when they have any trouble. Ask them why, and they tell you, Because we would be with the Lord. We fear it is not so much because they are longing to be with the Lord, as because they desire to get rid of their troubles; else they would feed the same wish to die at other times when not under the pressure of trial. They want to go home, not so much for the Savior's company, as to be at rest. Now it is quite right to desire to depart if we can do it in the same spirit that Paul did, because to be with Christ is far better, but the wish to escape from trouble is a selfish one. Rather let your care and wish be to glorify God by your life here as long as He pleases, even though it is in the midst of toil, and conflict, and suffering, and leave Him to say when it is enough.

SATAN HINDERED US. 1 Thessalonians 2:18

Since the first hour in which goodness came into conflict with evil, it has never ceased to be true in spiritual experience, that Satan hinders us. From all points of the compass, all along the line of battle, in the vanguard and in the rear, at the dawn of day and in the midnight hour, Satan hinders us. If we toil in the field, he seeks to break the plowshare; if we build the wall, he labors to cast down the stones; if we would serve God in suffering or in conflict everywhere Satan hinders us.

He hinders us when we are first coming to Jesus Christ. Fierce conflicts we had with Satan when we first looked to the cross and lived. Now that we are saved, he endeavors to hinder the completeness of our personal character. You may be congratulating yourself; I have hitherto walked consistently; no man can challenge my integrity. Beware of boasting, for your virtue will yet be tried; Satan will direct his engines that very virtue for which you are the most famous. If you have been hitherto a firm believer, your faith will ere long be attacked; if you have been meek as Moses, expect to be tempted to speak unadvisedly with your lips. The birds will peck at your ripest fruit, and the wild boar will dash his tusks at your choicest vines.

Satan is sure to hinder us when we are earnest in prayer. He check our importunity, and weakens our faith in order that, if possible, we may miss the blessing. Nor is Satan less vigilant in obstructing Christian effort. There was never a revival of religion without a revival of his opposition. As soon as Ezra and Nehemiah begin to labor, Sanballat and Tobiah are stirred up to hinder them. What then? We are not alarmed because Satan hindered us, for it is a proof that we are on the Lord's side, and are doing the Lord's work, and in His strength we shall win the victory, and triumph over adversary.
