Help us compile a list of the most romantic movie scenes - we may be able to create a video clip library. LLB included one already (the final scene from Sixteen Candles, but that's just her opinion, although had she been able to find the first marriage proposal scene from the Keira Knightley version of P&P, that might have been her choice. Regardless, please post your choices by clicking here!

We maintain a What We're Reading feature (outside of books we review, naturally), at AAR After Hours. This feature is generally updated weekly.

All About Romance on Shelfari
The AAR website is a place where romance readers come to read balanced, well-written reviews, talk with other romance lovers about the good, the bad and the ugly as it relates to romance as a genre, and use the site's special features to stay informed and be entertained.
After nearly ten years online, we're the premiere destination of romance readers. We're all about those who loved to read, and our longevity, our unabashed love for romance books - not to mention our unbiased, intelligent, and often irreverent writing about romance fiction - makes us unique on the web.
Open discussion of romance novels is our end game - and that includes the good, the bad, and the in-between. Individual staff may offer a viewpoint, but any and everyone is given the opportunity (via our forums, DIK review writing, and/or ATBF guest segments) to disagree. After all, one year LLB's favorite romance ended up "winning" in our annual reader poll as Worst Romance of the year!
But AAR is more than simply the biggest and best web-only site on the Internet! Our staff have incredibly varied tastes and interests - from travel to pop culture - and write about them on AAR After Hours, our off-topic blog. We also conduct week trivia contests at the blog, and give away lots of goodies.
Another great way to create two-way connections is through our brand new Facebook page. If you're already on Facebook, please join our group, and if you're not, you might want to give it a try (it's addictive).
We think this page is a terrific way to set up two-way links with readers, authors...all lovers of romance novels. We plan to supplement our links page with this page, and to conduct a couple of romance-but-not-romance-novel-related polls (most romantic songs and movie scenes--see sidebar). We hope that if you have a MySpace page, you'll be one of the first to help us build a community of friends. This goes double for all those who were a part of AAR Ring, the ring we began nearly a decade ago that was removed from our ownership against our will earlier this year by the powers that be at Web Ring management.
One big reason for starting this page was to make links to authors and publishers more accessible. We've created a quick list of our published author and publisher friends MySpace links directly below. We will update this list as often as possible. One final note - for those whose first books have yet to hit the shelves, let us know after they go on sale and we'll add you to our list of published authors directly below.
