We are Rainbow Trout, a three-piece rock band based in Manchester UK.
We like rays of colour in a grey world. We like the gradual awareness of the sun having risen, having already seen it set. We like the inborn smile you can't suppress in the face of beauty. We like the travel and the journey home. We like Joe Cocker's 'Woman To Woman' distorting the speakers of a vintage Renault Trafic at 5am on the M62. We like to know the night will only begin after Cymande's 'Brothers On The Slide' has infused the tranquility of a certain Manchester suburb. We like the way suits looked in the '50s, women looked in the '60s and cars looked in the '70s. We like the sound of a needle on vinyl; like getting into a warm bed. We like the cool side of the pillow. We like the moment that will never be forgotten. We like to worry about it later. Above all else, we like making music.
