About All American Tragedy (Debut Album on iTunes)
Coming from Tuscaloosa Alabama, All American Tragedy was founded in 2001 by Jake Austell and Rob Pope. Throughout the years the band would suffer the usual come and go of members that many bands face. It was in 2007 that the band solidified their lineup and was ready to begin working in the studio.
In September of 2008 All American Tragedy released their self titled debut Album. The band’s sound is one influenced by both classic and modern artist. Drawing on classics such as the Beatles, Black Sabbath, and Van Halen, they have mixed these influences with those of more modern groups like Metallica, Korn, and Staind. All American Tragedy’s sound is distinct. They deliver a hard hitting sound with a fine balance of melody and rhythm which reflect these influences.
The band is currently working to promote their album while writing new material. They have played all across Alabama, and into the neighboring states while opening up for national acts such as Crossfade. Recently they played Bayfest in Mobile Alabama, drawing one of the biggest crowds for an independent act the venue has seen.
All American Tragedy is known for their high quality performances, which deliver a level of energy and musicianship not matched by most bands. They guarantee that all in attendance will leave wanting more.
