After a four year battle with failing eye sight and countless operations to save what little sight he has left Allan is back!
Compared to the likes of Gordon Lightfoot and John Prine, along with Tom Rush and Harry Chapin, not so much for his voice but for the way he spins his stories and songs .
Allan tells people to understand that he realizes his voice sounds like an old gravel road , thus the comparesion to John Prine.
"I sing with my heart and let the good Lord drive me."
Although Allan says the good Lord tricks him once and a while with near perfect pitch for a few fleeting seconds. Allan tells people to listen to the words and hear with your hearts and then you will understand why Allan does what he does.
So please give Allan a listen and join the growing number of fans who already know what you are about to learn , that is that Allan is true to his calling and will always leave you with a smile on your face.
Allan is the REAL DEAL.
Enjoy!
Hello to all my friends out there, I've posted some new songs from my upcoming Live album "the toolhouse sessions". One of them is a very special one: "Part of my life" is written about and dedicated to our common friend Kris Kristofferson. In his very own style ... maybe you like it. All the best from Germany to the rest of the world. Shiregreen

After you've finished here, you may like to hear this folk-carol on myspace... Poem 230 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (see my blog for details): CHRISTMAS SUNG SIMPLY
As gospellers have said, Beneath signalling skies, On land dusty to tread, A trough in a stable Was the strawy first-bed Of a divine baby - The forgiving Godhead.
A season for new hope - There then and here now; The yuletide of goodwill - There then and here now.
In respect of this chance, Beneath bright or dark skies, Faith's the star that we glance Attending Christ's churches And trying to enhance, With singing and ritual, Our God-loving stance.
My music collection is arranged alphabetically,.... and your wonderful music is there....between Adrian Belew and Stephen Bishop. Im sure they would both be as pleased as I am for your presence.

Ha!Ha! To be honest, the dark print was unintentional, so don't be giving me too much credit! Glad it gave you a laugh tho', even if your eyes are still throbbing. LOL
Excellent version of 'Lotta Love' Allan. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Enjoyed the pics too. Didn't notice them last time. Good to see you haven't lost your looks - but then my eyesight's not what it used to be either. Ha!Ha!
