    Born and bred in the West Highlands, Allan Henderson is a Gaelic speaker and very much in the vanguard of the resurgence of interest in the native Gaelic culture of that region. A multi-instrumentalist and emerging composer, Allan has recently accepted the post of ‘Ceoladair an Sabhal’ (Musician in Residence) at Scotland’s Gaelic College, Sabhal Mòr Ostaig on the Isle-of-Skye..... Best known as a fiddle player, Allan also plays Highland pipes, piano and whistle. He is one of the founder members of Blazin' Fiddles (http://www.blazin-fiddles.com), is busy as a session musician and producer and also 'ghost wrote' the autobiography of renowned Highland troubadour Fergie MacDonald. .... Away from music, he is a fanatical football fan (c'mon the Dons) and is married to Morag. They have two children, Grace (two years old) and Donald (one) and are currently building a new house in Mallaig.     Hi Allan! I saw you and your sister on stage during the Scottish Folk Festival '96 in Cologne. You must have been roundabout 19 years old... I was amazed and delighted that young people like you were the stronghold of a great tradition, followed by many other great young musicians since then. Lead on and mòran taing!
