Allan was born into a musical family in Trnava, Slovakia in the fall of 1967. When he was just 5 years old, he learned to play guitar on his own and started singing shortly afterwards.
Allan was hired as the lead singer of the Slovak country band Podkova in 1988 and their successful collaboration won them numerous awards including the Band of the Year trophy from the Slovak Country Music Association.
A great breakthrough came when Allan met the Czech country music legend Michal Tucny in 1992. Allan went solo, released a self-titled debut album and recorded 2 duets with Tucny.
Michal Tucny passed away after a long fight with cancer in 1995. Allan went to studio with Rattlesnake Annie to record a tribute album to Michal called "Adios Last Cowboy".
On April 7th, 1997 Allan opened show for Johnny Cash in Prague, Czech Republic. Johnny personally picked Allan to open his show from many European artists.
Allan Mikusek has recorded a total of 5 very successful albums and 4 of them were released by Sony Music. He has also collaborated with top Nashville songwriters (inluding James Dean Hicks, Angela Kaset, Sonny Curtis and Gary Burr) and been awarded four times as the Vocalist of the Year by the Slovak Country Music Association.
Allan listens to a variety of music genres and he says "music has no boundaries".
As his best friend Michal Tucny used to say
