I love Vinnie, Denis Chambers, Steve Gadd, Bill Stewart, Tony Willams, All the Jonses... Elvin, Philly Jo, Joe, Tain, Joe Labarbra, the list seems to be endless.........
Sounds Like
Any thing you need.... Great time, a nice swing, deep pocket, tasty licks, a pile of chops. I also have every tone and sound you would need in the studio.
Hi everyone.......
My name is Joey K. I'm a transplant from Los Angeles California. I came to Asheville North Carolina to escape the hustle and bustle of a big city. I really didn't want to pay that kind of rent or burn that much gas any more. I've been playing drums for 29 years and can play most styles. I've been fortunate to work with some pretty cool people. My biggest gig to date has been with PINK and OZOMATLI. I've also played with; JOHN AVILA (bass for Oingo Boingo,) guitar virtuoso RAFAEL MOREIRA (rock star tv show, Paul Stanley, Cristina Agulara, Magnetico,) PHILIP SAYCE (guitar for Mellisa Ethridge, Uncle Cracker, Jeff Healy,) ANDY WALO (Junior Wells,) SHELL DOG (guitar for The Gap Band, George Clinton, Snoop Dogg) as well as having my own band for 9 years THE BIG PILL. There is also the countless local LA bands I have either played with or recorded for. All in all I've been very lucky and very thank full to have had these opportunities to play at my best with the best players. All the songs above are a small collection of recordings I have done over the years..........Thanks for the listen, joey k
