Playing music for people creates a connection that goes beyond a simple "hello". It's a way of sharing life experiences and expressing empathy for the experiences of the listener. These connections are what keep people interested in an artist's music, and what keep an artist interested in sharing it.

Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Bob Marley, Fiona Apple, Pink, Janis Joplin, Queen and my Dad, among others.
Sara and Terrance were involved in their own (separate) bands, with Terrance performing hip-hop and Sara doing light-pop. In late 2006, the two began collaborating in the project that would eventually become "Allegro Star". Band members came and went, but it seemed that Terrance and Sara were the strongholds of the music's solidity. At their first show as a duo, the booking agent asked them, "How many people are in your band?" Sara held up two fingers and replied, "Two". Met with skepticism and snickers from the crowd, the two went on stage and turned heads with the full sound created by the tight rhythms of the drums, vocal harmonies, keyboard strength, and the lyrical writing of the music. Occasionally, Allegro Star will invite guest instrumentalists to play with them, but are best known for their surprising abilities as a duo. In the coming months, Allegro Star will be releasing its first full length album, filled with their best songs.
The recordings on this page are "roughs" used for practice purposes only. They were recorded on 2 track acid files. (one track for the piano, one for the voice.) That said - - there are multiple mistakes in the music, but I wanted to put something up here that shows what Allegro Star is working on.
